Man I love the Kings twitter people! That brightened up the funk of this loss.

only surprise was JQ in net over JB

i agree with others the flat start was a combo of the bad 3rd against CAL and the fact that CAL played the body heavy against them the night before. the result LA started slow.

combine this with PHX looking to make a statement now each and every time they play LA. playoff losses will always cause this, expect the same for the rest of this season.

hard to really point fingers in any direction, or at anyone specifically. the team was flat, tired and had no jump. the only saving grace was the PP that kept LA in the game.

i disagree with the post about JQ being bad last night. the score could have been far worse, Quick kept it as close as possible. defensive lapses again and misreads lead to some easy PHX goals. Quick never gave up and gave them a chance to crawl back into the the game and try steal a W

i still would like to see them sit Scuderi for a game. simply to give the guy a rest. his declining play i still think is attributable to the TOI. the guy is wearing down physically because of the responsibility put on his back this year. i honestly don't think the D zone coverage will be any worse than it has the past 5+ games without him in the line up.

last night Muzzin we got a glimpse of bad Muzzin. he took a few chances he shouldn't have, that i attribute to him feeling his way into the league. he has had some excellent games recently and last night he tried to take it to the next level. he got worked, but its a lesson. i am still liking the DD - Muzzin pairing, they complement each other well. the kid is a keeper

shake it off and on to SJ, with a days rest.

I wonder if Scuderi is hurt. Sutter alluded to a couple of guys being banged up. Scuds is a warrior and will skate if humanly possible, but I wonder if an undisclosed injury is the source of his poor play.

I had to listen to the Phoenix announcers all night. They just kept talking about Boedker and Klinkhammer, terribly annoying. I understand they played great but they didnt shut up.

I saw flashes of dominance in the 3rd period when we were trailing 4-0, kinda odd & late.

Tyson Nash is as bad as Hayward with his homerism.

I see Scuderi getting caught in between opposing forwards. No man's land for a defenseman. His clearing attempts have been generally feeble. He has not been mentally sharp the entire season. He has a good game here and there, but downright awful games too.

I agree that he's a warrior, but being physically capable does not equal being mentally capable.

Sutter might help him by returning him to Doughty's side. Scuderi and Voynov were completely lost out there.

The pinch by Drewiske was terrible because he hesitated, like usual. He easily should have been the first one to that puck but he hesitated and then lost the battle on the boards.

They looked like they did a few weeks back before the win streak with the bad breakouts and just terrible passing between defensemen.

Also, Dustin Brown needs to stop accepting being run at by these ass clowns at the end of games in Phoenix.

I hate to put everything on Scuderi. I think he's a good defenseman but he's not top tier and right now he's getting top tier minutes. I think if he went back to the role he had last year he would be fine.

Seriously, where are Mitchell and Greene? The defense needs them so badly

Sorry
This loss was all my fault.
I did not wear a Kings shirt/jersey today.
I knew that I should since I did not wear a Kings shirt on the 7th vs the Stars as well.
I will do laundry tomorrow and be better prepared for the Sharks.
again my apologies

I will share with that. The Kings are on a 10 game winning streak when I am able to jersey up.
I was not able to last night and this is what happens.

Can't win em all. Onward and upward.
I didn't get to see the game but sounds like we gave a decent push back in thehtird but was too late.
Also sounds like we took too many penalties.
Bring on the sharks!

Rob Scuderi with a -3 and on the ice for the Coyotes' power play goal. Mostly flailing wildly with his stick.

Colin Fraser -2 and getting stripped on one goal.

Dwight King -2 not covering Boedker on the first goal.

Not a pretty game for the Kings. Oh, and Quick not so good either.

Third game in 4 nights. If you check around the league you can see teams really struggling in that 3rd game. Yes Rob probably could use a break here in there more than the young guys. Fraser and King for the most part have played well the last 2 weeks. Quick has been o.k. but the defensive coverage has had to many lapses.

Having both Greene and Mitchell out has hurt our defensive rotation. If only one were out it would not be a problem. I really commend Doughty for taking on this role has a stay at home Defenseman.

I think the writing was on the wall before this game. You're going to get your ass kicked every once in a while and those guys wanted to beat us much worse than we wanted to beat them last night.

Quick is still a little sketchy but I'm still confident he will hit his stride eventually. Scuds has been pretty bad lately but I don't see him as the kind of person that will allow himself to make these kinds of game a habit.

On to SJ.

With the way the kings have performed in the third game in four nights, I'm afraid to get ticket to the game in Dallas. Kings play at St. Louis on Thursday, then at Minnesota on Saturday and at Dallas on Sunday. :scared:
