I hope Buffalo makes a comeback...for their fans. ....but not tomorrow.
Not tomorrow is the right answer

The Sabres are only 6 points out of a wild card spot, so they still have motivation to play well.........but AFTER this game ;)

Bruins 3-2. Sabres will show up, but if we play responsible d, we should break them down and win. They are relatively healthy, motivated, and talented but our structure and goaltending should carry the day.

You're predicting a Bruins win? Now I'm worried!

Nah just kidding, I think you're right, should be a good game, Sabres will be pretty desperate to get a result. But the Bs should carry the day, both for the reasons you stated and because I think we can get a good bit of offense going too against a porous Buffalo defense. The practice lines looked weird, but I'm not sure how they'll actually shape up at the puck drop once Marchand slots back in.

I hope they know it is @Ladyfan 's birthday! They have to win for her with no injuries.

Wasn't really sure what thread to post this under. Some interesting comments from Brad about their system play this year. Was pulled from Elliot Friedman's 32 Thoughts this morning.

"18. Brad Marchand knows when the media is looking for something juicy, and almost always delivers. What I also like is when he just talks hockey; he’s got a great mind for the sport and is a terrific teacher. Fluto Shinzawa asked why he took the morning skate last weekend in Toronto. Marchand replied he wanted to try some new sticks. When Kyle Bukauskas asked a bit more about it, Boston’s captain explained he’d experimented with a longer stick and therefore a stiffer flex, and was going back to what he knew. “Too many people in my head,” he laughed.

Marchand then scored the winner against the Maple Leafs and followed with a natural hat trick 24 hours later versus Columbus. Marchand also discussed some adjustments he had to make to fit the Bruins’ new system. Asked to explain further, he said, “No!” — with a big smile — and then told us that Jim Montgomery made a change to their breakouts. It used to be about reading and reacting to each other.

With all of the changes, Montgomery demands more structure, and Marchand joked that there are times he wants to do things the old way, but the coach prefers this method until there is more familiarity. Honestly, I wish there was more time to discuss this stuff with players and coaches. Maybe I’m just asking bad questions."

But doesn't Friedman hate all things Bruins?

Welcome to the Jungle

“The Bruins recalling Lohrei on an emergency basis hints that Ian Mitchell would get first crack at playing while Forbort remains on long-term injured reserve, and Lohrei would fill in when necessary.”

This writer suggests an emergency recall implies that Mitchell is likely ahead of Lohrei on the depth chart at this time. I think he is just blatantly wrong. Am I missing something?
