what a putrid schedule, the only positive is the boys had a chance to get a practice or two in. How can a team find a rhythm when they have 3-4 days off between tilts?
Well played.Hopefully not "a Game which will live in infamy"
The issue up there is too many of the same kind of players, and not enough veteran leadership. Okposo is fine but he's a 4th liner. Skinner isn't known for his leadership qualities. After that it's a bunch of kids. It's actually hard to tell many of them apart (other than a Tage or a Dahlin obviously).Sabres are struggling, they could probably use a new coach to take the kids to the next level. Granato did a great job developing, but may have ran his course there.
Yeah agreed, I think that was the plan with bringing in Erik Johnson but probably not enough. The issue up there is too many of the same kind of players, and not enough veteran leadership. The smartest thing they could do is package up a couple of these young players (and they have more coming) and balance out the roster with vets. See: Detroit (though they have far less young talent than the Sabres).
But instead...Sabres gonna Sabre. Always a year away from being a year away.
Yeah and of course it’s the one game scheduled this week and it’s the same night as both the Pats and my Knights of Columbus meeting.what a putrid schedule, the only positive is the boys had a chance to get a practice or two in. I think it's fair to say that most teams do. The teams that do that really well seem to be the teams to beat come playoff time, or make the most noise.Well they definitely struggle with a physical aggressive forcheck that’s for sure.
But the Patriots are like...historically awful sooooooYeah and of course it’s the one game scheduled this week and it’s the same night as both the Pats and my Knights of Columbus meeting.
Bruins really aren’t much of a forchecking team really, they seem to generate most of their offence of the rush ,probably the reason they haven’t had success in the playoffs lately, the game get simpler and they don’t seem to adjust.I think it's fair to say that most teams do. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of a team they are, aside from great goaltending and a 1.5PPG RW.Bruins really aren’t much of a forchecking team really, they seem to generate most of their offence of the rush ,probably the reason they haven’t had success in the playoffs lately, the game get simpler and they don’t seem to adjust.
Always tough playing a wounded team. They have been terrible recently but showed some fight last night against the Wings. Bruins better be ready.Sabres are soft and easy to beat BUT they are on a crash and burn losing streak and we always seem to have trouble with those teams and play down to their level a little so this is a dangerous game we can easily blow. They can score a lot if you give them open ice, so don't give it to them just that simple.
Hit them hard and they will fold.
