If the Sens don’t have another gear, and there’s no evidence they do, that number is out of reach.
But who knows, just gonna have to hope it comes.

How many of those teams we play are playing B2B? Those are auto losses. We have the next 4 and 5 of the next 6 games at home, I wanna be optimistic that we can string some wins together to get back into the wild card race, but maybe I'm being naive.
This upcoming stretch of 6 games is probably their last stand, so to speak. After that they have a 9 game roadie and I think we all know what to expect from that.We have the next 4 and 5 of the next 6 games at home, I wanna be optimistic that we can string some wins together to get back into the wild card race, but maybe I'm being naive.
It isn't a spin, we won the game so there is nothing to spin.Their 5 on 5 underlying numbers are objectively garbage and the only time they looked good was in their game against us.
Spin whatever that means anyway you want, those are objective facts.
I’ll give the Sens as much credit for winning that game as I gave the Rangers for beating us.It isn't a spin, we won the game so there is nothing to spin.
I'm on the west coast and I've been watching the sharks lately and too many simple minded people, yourself included, look at stats and make up their mind while conveniently ignoring that they are the highest scoring team in the NHL the last 2 weeks and have been giving teams fits for a while now. That version of the Sharks that we played is significantly better than their record indicates but sheer ignorance prevents people like you from giving them any credit.
This fanbase carries the baggage of the last seven years into every single game and it shows. I understand why, but it’s a skewed perception. It isn't a spin, we won the game so there is nothing to spin.

Exactly. Skewed and childish in many cases. This fanbase carries the baggage of the last seven years into every single game and it shows. I understand why, but it’s a skewed perception.
I have a feeling this will be a loss.
They don’t show up against teams that are in a similar spot in the standings to them. They’re on the back half of a back to back. Ullmark has been shaky and up and down the majority of the season and coming off a strong performance.
Dostal has been lights out and I mean dominant. We have a hard time scoring 5 on 5. Ducks play hard and fast.
I don’t see it.
It reeks a loss. I foresee another game where we say we should’ve won but didn’t. “Teaching moments”, “mental lapses”. “Little moments of the game”.
The impact of playing 3 in 4 is being overplayed here, yes it's a potential advantage, but not as big as you'd think given they had negligible travel. It also doesn't make good teams bad, it's a fractional impact.Again, LA played 3 games in 4 nights and we were desperate. That is a game you NEED to have or at least outplay them in the 3rd period. We had two days off and they still crushed us.
Every team in the NHL is good, but you need to win. We also suck against the bad teams too. We lost against Montreal and got outplayed by both San Jose and Anaheim.
In the first game of a back-to-back, teams got an average of 1.081 points per game and in the second game of a back-to-back (where teams should be more tired), teams averaged 1.014 points per game. In non-back-to-back games, the average was 1.125.
Exactly. Skewed and childish in many cases.
I can't imagine he doesn't request a trade soon. The only way I can see that he doesn't is if Staois pulls off a literal miracle in terms of improving the team. If I was Tkachuck I'd be looking for the exit. I don't think he wants to spend his entire career on a literal bottom feeder. Especially while watching his brother win a championship.Brady Thachuk post-game in L.A. and Anaheim:
“I only care about winning”
These are the statements that make me worry. 8 years man. #FreeBrady
So, I thought this was the best game by Pinto in a long time, possibly all year. If he can get going, that will help a tone.
He played better after getting crunched by Gudas.
A lot of this slump really has to be mental. For more than a few guys on this team.
That doesn't relate to what we were talking about.Senators players saying the road trip was a success and over those 3 games they dropped from 5th worst NHL team to 4th worst NHL team and had their worst performance in team history against the worst team in the NHL.
Maybe the players have a skewed perception and the fans see clearly what’s going on?
They were and i said to myself the same thing. What happen since? i don't know. It's really wild because there was a stretch in October where they were playing legitimately good hockey and I thought to myself, "this is it, they've finally put it together."
What's that saying? "Fool me once, Shame on you, Fool me seven times, Shame on me"?
