2016 was worse, with Pavelec in net it was almost automatic that we'd take stupid penalties and give up late period goals because of lazy plays.

Stanley if he was a decent defender with a huge wing span could have disrupted the play but his lack of mobility and speed,totally ineffective.

Stanley is pretty slow but can't blame him there. Most other NHL defensemen would have been back in time though.

They were floating around in Vegas' end getting no chances. On the other hand, Vegas got 15 shots at net and created a lot of high danger chances. I just don't see how that was anything but another awful period.
