Yeah I don’t buy that at all. I’ve seen hand passes called when a player hits another guy’s glove with a shot and it bounces off it to a teammate. If it deflects off your glove to a teammate it’s a hand pass.DeBrusk handpass was different than last night. Puck was next to him and he was on the ice and he did nudge it and another Bruin handled it immediately after. This was a shot off the glove and no way equivalent.
Hell, I remember the 2019 WCF when the league admitted they missed a hand pass that led to a SJ OT-winning goal (and this 30 seconds after they also missed a Pietrangelo puck over glass penalty too. But that was never mentioned, of course). Puck hit a guy, bounced of him, then bounced off his glove right to Erik Karlsson who scored. This is one of the reasons why the league went to the “missed-stoppage review” thing in the first place. It’s also one of the reasons why St L suddenly became the media and league’s darlings: because it was felt that they lost a game due to a missed called, all the while conveniently ignoring the missed call on Pietrangelo. This league.
