Usually even with football players or any sport, it takes about 6 months to a year before you feel like yourself. Plus you need time to start to believe you can put that acl to the test

Good for Lindy Ruff. The defense was a mess when he was here, but can't be easy to have a consensus in the entire media that you're going to be fired. He survived last season. Then the team hiring a guy like Andrew Brunette that was one of the top coaches last season and the media having a consesus that you are going to be the first one fired this season because hes your replacement. Then the fans chant for your firing. He survived it all.
