He already is injured, and as much as I like him, I think he should be traded.

He’s great to have around the young guys, a leader, great on the ice but his history shows that he is fragile now. Too many injuries in a row, that’s not a risk the team can take. Trade him before he gets injured, get a free first and move on to other things.

Imagine this foot injury gets worse, thats a free asset gone for nothing.
Pretttty sure MSL and their doctors know he’s fine otherwise they wouldn’t risk him playing if they eventually want to trade him. They’re not going to ruin him and their doctors aren’t idiots

MSL directives to his 2nd line:

Slaf, make sure to push Monahan where he needs to go.

Andy, pick up some speed and let Sean grab on to you.

Sean: win the FO, go in front of the net and wait there. If you need to move ask for a push or a lift.

Yeah he's tied with 2 other at 16 points......which is good but hey, Monahan has 14 points and we stole them a 1st round pick for it!!!
This trade looks more and more silly for the Flames....

And HuGo, brainiac this one to be able to even get an unprotected 1st round pick down the road
Still one of the most complicated trade I ever saw

I can just see MB scratching his head over this one.

So Allen over Monty & Wideman over Pitlick.

If you think that HuGo and MSL don't want to tank, you have it all wrong. I now believe Engels or the reporter that heard a Habs exec say that the team was going 'too well' right now. Allen again tonight. They ARE for the tank. No doubt.
The D corps being so much better than they thought initially definitely threw a wrench into their plan. Harris tapering off and our poor play recently aren't coincidental IMO.
