Well, Mason made 45 saves. I said he would have a 46 save shutout...

Was gonna say this.

Bruins shots to shooting percentage is atrocious.

Agreed it should go Marchand, Pasta, probabaly Krejci this game then Bergeron, then whoever.

Always go with your stars first.

Poor Rask worst run support in the American League.

What can I say, another poor goalie made out like Roy against the Bruins again

How can a team have the most shots and the worst shooting percentage, statistics says it cant happen all year, can it?

So you use the guy that's 0 for 7 over the guy that's 7 for 12 because he's a "star"?

That doesn't make any sense.

We all know David Pastrnak is 100000x the hockey player. I'm also going to use my brain and use the guy that's over 50% in shootouts.

Agreed. Shootout choices didn't work out this time but they also weren't dumb choices. Even Marchand's SO numbers are not as good as one would expect in spite of the smooth goal tonight.

Too bad they couldn't score one in their so many chances in OT and in the shoutout. They deserved the win an still got 1pt with a great comeback in the 3rd.

Bring on Carolina.

I'm losing interest. The terrible refereeing has gone on too long and the rest of the product is meh

Tuukka's awesome though.

I don't care who he is if he converts the majority of his shootout attempts when you're attempting to win in the shootout.

The shameful amount of subjectivity being injected into something so objective and quantifiable is beyond stupid.

I don't care about meaningless, small sample statistics.

Nash isn't as talented as any of the 5-7 guys I'd pick before him.

Therefore, I'd go with at least 7 others every time.

And if the did it tonight...they get 2 points instead of 1.

You did see the goal Nash scored last shoot out right?

You are just flat out wrong in this. They are better than Nash in the 65 minutes of play. Nash is better in a shoot out. That is a viable possibility and true in this case.

I'm thinking surely over the course of the year the Bs cannot possibly keep shooting at such a wretched pct. Usually stuff like that evens out. Player by player a lot of Bs are well below their normal shooting pct. If they ever catch fire and get to an average pct then they will be winning a ton of games.

Apparently a lot of people. I don't think he played THAT bad. Little more effort would have been nice but I could say that about the whole team as well.

I took my dog out for a walk during game and flipped on radio and Beers is lauding Krejci. Brinkley says same. I want to come here and get decent hockey talk like the old days and instead all agenda ****

Krug had another strong game and same thing

You can't take half the opinions seriously because it's posters just ******** on guys they don't like

It's not random "small sample statistics".

It's statistics that reflect EXACTLY the act being performed. It's SHOOTOUT attempts and SHOOTOUT goals. You are attempting a SHOOTOUT and trying to score on the SHOOTOUT.

I'm sorry I don't let my emotions over how I feel about a player, in general, trump logic. But, I'm actually looking at things with my brain and not my heart. What Claude did made perfect sense, whether it worked out or not. You saying things like "Marchand scored, Nash didn't, so there..." doesn't prove anything. It just as easily could have gone the other way and we wouldn't be having this conversation. Your hindsight means nothing. It doesn't matter. They lost. It's over. The decision that got made clearly was not without perfectly sane thought.

The end.

I'm sure our penalty shooters know what they're doing, but, wow, that serpentine tactic where they meander all the way to left boards and come back to the middle seems like it never works for us.

Also saw the way Marchand was skating tonight, and the confidence he was playing with.

It's silly to have him not in the top 3.
