I think he will be fine. Love that guy! He is a great Captain!

Folks forget he had no camp and is coming off 3 surgeries from Summer.
I can remember Razor also saying this awhile back and that he wasn’t expecting #63 to be in full form until mid-November. Looks like he was right on!

Glad they won and there's lots to like, but boy does this team struggle putting the puck in the net. They are going to have to find a way to finish more of these plays.

Swayman looked a little more like himself so that's a positive sign too.

I like the direction and the subtle changes.

The Big Smoke (unfortunately)
Didn’t see the game but appears to have been good. Looks like starting to get some luck too. That “icing” before Brad’s goal, yikes. But we’ve had enough go against us so meh. 2-0 under Sacco. Keep it going boys! Who’s our next victim?

Defensively, it's like night and day. Relatively easy night for Swayman. Made all the saves he needed to, just as Korpisalo did a couple nights ago. A little more "hardness" on pucks and second effort is noticeable. Want to see this for a longer stretch. Given the roster, this is definitely the style they need to play.

3rd period was exceptional. Great road win.

Offensively, still many issues. Too many plugs who think they are scorers.

I've liked Lohrei with McAcvoy the past couple of games. Hope that positivity continues. Everyone has looked better back there. To a man.

Is Zadarov getting more or less ice time under Sacco ? It seems less but maybe I’m wrong. Zadarov seems to be making a conscious effort to simplify. He’s almost better off just standing still in his own zone as he doesn’t have quickness. Just guard the front of the net .

Once Pasta gets out of his rut, the goals will come

..but the big question is ...When??

Lots of positives...

Energy is better. Compete is better. PK is better. Defensive zone coverage is better. Neutral zone defense is better. Swayman had a good game. PP has scored some goals (albeit PP2)...

Still room to grow but it's another positive step.
If I may add:

Team got better as the game went on. I think that's a major positive and quite the opposite of their norm in the first 20 games.

Sacco said he was going to focus on defensive structure first. Carlo had his best game of the season tonight. Zadorov is playing better. Peake was strong. This was the right call from the new coach.
