Not to take too much away from a blowout win, but this game would indicate that the ‘old, slow Oilers’ are capable of playing with speed when they feel like it.
Maybe pp1 should sitI would have preferred we put out the PP1 at the end. They need practice.
If Skinner put up that kind of start consistently, you have no problem with him in net. With how good our defense has been his sv% should look like this consistently, because frankly he wasn't particularly spectacular tonight.

Agreed. Imo they need urgency via less time and less starts.Maybe pp1 should sit
They are so predictable. There are thousands of hours on tape of them running the same play. It's been scouted by every team. Pp2 is probably the better option right now.
He's off to a really solid start this year. Been a difference maker a lot for a bottom 6 guy.Janmark was great on the PK (again). It was like last playoffs where he attacked the PP and made them a liability if they bobbled the puck at all.

Which is odd cause the Rangers looked bad from puck drop. Quick kept them alive in the 1st.HDSC were even at 10, xGF slightly favored the Rangers.
Yeah, f*** that guy.Nice W. Why the faq they have like a week off now? NHL scheduling sucks.
Oh Ron McLean is up next...*click* TV off
f*** that guy
PP2 ran it the same way they would have anyway. Passed the puck around for 1:30 and refused to shoot. I couldn’t tell the difference.I would have preferred we put out the PP1 at the end. They need practice.

Not minding the look of Kapanen out there. Whats his contract price? Figure this is a better add than someone like Arvid. With a player like Kapanen you get some skill on puck and cycle ability and playing hard and without the smurf effect that small players add up to. All other things being equal pick the physically stronger player. I always would. Kapanen looking good up here so far.
If Cagguila continues to play that gritty pest role he’s been playing then they need to keep him here. That’s exactly what this team needs and outside of Perry nobody else seems capable of playing it.Team looked really fast today, so for people who like to harp on that forever, they can play that way too it looks to me.
Don't mind Kapanen, I mean I'm not expecting the moon here, but yeah his speed is noticeable.
Happy to see Podkolzin get his first.
McDavid has 8 goals in his last 8 games. Shooter mentality coming back a bit?
Caggiula seems like such a pest, I don't mind him, liked him in his first stint here too.
