I'm eating crow on Givani Smith this season for sure. He's looked fantastic since coming back into the lineup.

I was surprised how good Givani Smith was in the preseason, and I've felt bad for him that he wasn't getting ice time.

I don't care how the shootouts go in a season where points don't matter. As far as I am concerned this is a tie game. And that's a win IMO. Shootouts is not Hockey.

Love the post game graphic that got both Antti Niemi's and Arturs Irbe's names spelled incorrectly. They need to invest in rebuilding the team's depth on the broadcast side of things.

I don't know how they misspelled the names, but I'm hoping they were Anti Niemi like the most of us.

I thought Liljegren looked alright... otherwise this tracks with the eye test somewhat.

I honestly have no idea how the two guys with the most positive "team offense above average" were Goodrow and Kostin. I mean, the whole team was awful in that category, but how in the world do those two guys stand out?

One of these days I'm going to learn what exactly goes into that stat, but right now I'm more confused about it than ever!

This is true, though in terms of how teams are trending, the Sharks have been quite a different team after those first nine games--so while they certainly could start struggling again and fall off the pace, the low points percentage does feel a bit deceptive in terms of who this team is and where they may finish.

At this point, it feels like there are about a dozen teams I could realistically see finishing lower than the Sharks. Not that they all will, but this version of the Sharks (basically, the version that includes Celebrini and Liljegren) is in the mix with all of them, in my opinion.

Can't complain with how this season has gone so far. The young guys have all looked as expected or better. And the depth guys in our lineup have all played way better than last year...it provides way more life to the top of lineup players. Once a guy like Celebrini gets more comfortable in the league, he's gonna be an amazing player.

Next year we could be seeing guys like Dickinson, Musty, 2025 1st, etc. in the lineup for different stretches.

I don't know, but it may be worth starting to practice some shootouts at the ends of morning skates/practices.

Blues have had a similar record to Nashville. It should have been one the Sharks were aiming to win.
