BOOMSHACKALACKA!
I had Jam Tournament Edition on my old Windows 95 computer back in the day. I even bought a game pad (a Gravis gamepad with
4 whole buttons! ) just to play it.
the thing I miss that I can't even find evidence for the existence of anymore is that it came with one of those branded operating system packs that lots of games had which had wallpapers, alternate icon sets, sound libraries, and OS component skins so that you could change up the standard Windows look. But the capstone was that it had custom screensavers that would play automated 3-point contests, dunk contests, or full 5v5 games with the logos of the various teams. So I would sit down at the computer and turn the monitor on to find that it was in the 3rd quarter of a game between 5 Lakers logos and 5 Mavericks logos with the Lakers up 75-69 and I would then sit and watch the rest of the game play out before I touched the mouse to actually do whatever I needed to
I've tried looking around the internet but I can't find anyone even talking about that ever having been a thing. But I know I'm not crazy and it did exist. I might have to go look in the filing cabinet of old computer stuff my parents have had since the 80s. I think I have all the old CDs for my games growing up in there.
Should see if I can dig out the cloth map I got with Everquest too.
Also I loved finding out a few years ago that the Jam producers were petty Pistons fans and coded the game so that if it's close in the dying seconds of a Detroit vs Chicago game, the game will torpedo the Bulls' shooting ability so that they'll shoot nothing but bricks.
