After the match against NJ on Monday, they have a few days off. That's the time to implement a heavily conservative system and change the season's direction.

Feelin' good on a Wednesday
Egregious beer league stuff.
As was the entire 1st period defensively.

I've called this team out for quitting like 8 times in my lifetime.

I'm making it 9 today.

They've absolutely quit 1/4 of the way into the season & that's not an indictment on Lavi. They just have zero heart. None.

Adversity is their kryptonite.

Pathetic & something needs to happen ASAP

I'm with this. Change up the system to favor defense. Period. The only decent offensive is when we capitalize off the other team's mistakes, but even when we do, we can't bury it.

I don't particularly like our offense either. Most of our shots are point shots looking for deflections all game. I'm also sick as shit seeing the merry-go-round perimeter cycle only for it to end up as yet another weak point shot.

Break out and zone exit like normal f***ing teams do. Forwards are 10 feet away on the half walls and facing up ice, not back at the dmen, receiving the puck from the back line. Do away with the backwards chip and the 85 ft lateral pass that is their only gimmick.

But we know Lavi will give them Tuesday off, make Wednesday optional practice, telling them, "get away from hockey a few days, reset, Chris is a carpet muncher, don't listen to him. Cut out the noise. Buy some nice lingerie for your partner or yourself. Enjoy time off."

It needs to happen. There's been smoke on Drury making changes. If they start playing well now it'll be "oh great, that got them going."
Losing is the best thing that can happen to this franchise. They’ve gotten away with this for too long. We have to bring them to justice.

we don't have the players rofl. This team is cooked over with caput
I do agree, same team for ?? Years, shelf life is almost expired.
Joe said after the game that’s another slow start. That’s more on the coach then the players
No discipline

Hot take, but Panarin doesn't bother me.

He's done nothing but push this team in the right direction 5v5 in his time here.

If we do change things up, and you said "hey this guy has value and can kickstart us," I'd be open to it, but he's not a cancer.

Zibanejad, Trouba, Lindgren, and low-key Miller are the guys that we can't even put on the ice.
I don’t think Panarin would waive his NMC the thing is he’s going to be 35 when his next contract kicks in, do we really want to be on the hook for that? If he was a few years younger I’d say absolutely keep him.

Imo the coaching staff is the problem, how they can look at these games and not implement a change in strategy is beyond me. A bantam coach can look at our d and figure out they can't play man to man

What can th3 coach do to motive these older core players? They tu ed him out as a matter of fact they tuned out the last 3 coaches. It's time to make serious changes. Drury give us a letter ASAP
