Great game all around. Liked what the D did. Nice to see my man Colin have a good game. Just bad luck on that deflected goal. We either see Morrow or Chara on Tuesday, which I'm fine with.

Offense was so much better. Our top line is going to make life really difficult for teams for the next 5 years or so. Now to fill the 9 spots behind them...

Julien just switching the lines up today made the difference.

Nice to hear that Vatrano and Chara are both skating.

With that win we fill finish November above .500.

Finally getting rewarded with some bounces. With Hayes scoring, I believe that anything is possible with this team.

Awesome W. Good to see Hayes finally get over that barren drought. Here's hoping we can carry it over to the next game. Go B's!

He tripped over Bishop's stick while Bishop was coming out to play the puck. He was going full speed on the forecheck and went head first. Unlucky play but totally clean.

I hope Liles is OK and would never wish injury on a player.

Silver lining...does this mean we might actually get to see Morrow and Chiller in the NHL lineup at the same time, and see if the world actually comes to an end?

Tampa twice. That's it. Was a good game and almost felt like a must-win for some players and management for the fans.

Great 2nd and 3rd period to watch.

We're 7-9 against teams .500 or higher. That's not horrible. At home, we're 3-4 and on the road 4-5.

Limit it to playoff teams and we're 5-8, but all but one of the losses have come against #1, #2 or #3 teams in each conference by winning percentage (the one that wasn't came against Ottawa, who are fifth). Not expecting this team to sweep Montreal, Minnesota (horrible matchups), or St. Louis (decent matchup, but we always seem to lose close games against them, even when we're the better team). Still beaten more good teams than Tampa.

Pretty sure Julien is having anxiety issues as we speak at just the thought of Morrow and Colin in the line-up at the same time, and has probably already petitioned Sweeney to recall Tommy Cross. :sarcasm:

Mcquaid-CMiller

Krug-Cmiller

They'll probably keep Kevin on the off side with Colin.

id like to see us bring O'Gara back up.
Wasn't he leading the team in blocked shots?

Also like the opening day line of Marshy-Backes- Pasta back out there.

I think the problem is a huge fraction of the fanbase thinks we have to be bad in order to be good. And that sucking will automatically yeild a Crosby not Aitken or Hamill.

People genuinely believe we should have traded Loui Erikkson for draft picks when we were 3rd in the East. Lots of them too.:shakehead . And we smashed the Eriksson situation out of the ball park signing a far better player and fit in Backes to identical terms no less and avoiding a trainwreck of a signing in Loui his best days are past him and hes got 5 more years after this and hes soft. And despite getting Backes for Loui people still complain that we should have punted on last year and traded Loui.

So why couldn't they have traded Loui for picks and still signed Backes? Wouldn't that have been a win/win?

Playing devil's advocate a bit, because I personally think you should always push for a playoff spot, and so I wasn't upset when they kept him...

I'm one of those people that was on board with trading Loui. My rationale is as follows. We clearly were not championship contenders last year. The defense was just too poor. To me, pushing for the play-offs is just hurting you long-term, due to the inability to improve the roster. It was clear that Eriksson wasn't going to re-sign, so he becomes an asset that no longer has any value at the end of the year. This asset wasn't going to help you reach the goal, win a Stanley Cup. so move him for future assets that will.

Backes has been a great signing, and if this was the plan all along, then you should've definitely moved Loui.

It didn't end yesterday when the B's had to roll out two pairs of right-handed defensemen for half the 2nd period.

But neither would seem to be a good long-term plan.
