Everything the Rangers do looks so sloppy. Loose pucks in front of their own net. Wild shots wide in the O-zone or kind of lobs from long range. Meanwhile most of what Carolina does looks crisp and intentional. And THAT has been a symptom of Rangers hockey for at least a decade.

I said it after the last game, we really don't seem to do the fundamentals well. "Be brilliant at the basics" is something that was drilled in to me, but it seems to be an ethos that doesn't exist at MSG
