Sooo...you came over here to make excuses before your team even steps on to the ice? Talk about tough times in St.Louis:laugh:

Tell ya what, we'll throw you a bone as well and say this is out second game of a back to back so if we lose thats why

The Blues obviously don't have a star forward or two that carries the team. It relies upon its depth. When you don't have that depth, you can't count on winning. They will try, but it most likely won't happen, especially with our top 3 offensive forwards gone. Pittsburgh would be saying the same thing without Crosby, Malkin, and Neal. The Blues will hope Halak has something up his sleeve.

On a side note, at what point is a team able to use the injury excuse? What if the Kings literally lost their top 3 lines and top 4 defensemen and had to replace them with AHL players. Some people would say "quit making excuses." Well, if your team was able to win without those players, then why did your GM even sign them in the first place?

Good luck tonight though. Looking forward to watching some of the game.

the Blues did what-now?

We put them on a 5-game losing streak after we beat them. At 11-8-2 (a winning record), I thought they had recovered after the losing streak. Never mind, I just looked at their results. They are only 5-3-1 since the losing streak. I didn't realize they started the season 6-1.

Brown, Williams and Doughty need to start producing a bit more. Carter and Kopitar can't carry the mail forever.

I really enjoy the hockey coverage on the pre-game show, covering Angels baseball. The Kings pre-game coverage should also include high school sports and basketball.

So Alex Curry was hired to read tweets on the air and to show online videos that have nothing to do with hockey? Awesome. The hockey coverage here just makes me so sad.

Moriarty-type questions:

"What's the magic of Staples Center?"
"You're the right winger on the Kopitar line, what is your job?"
"You didn't score in the 1st period, what do you need to do to get a goal?"
"You almost had the shutout. Did you feel bad about giving up the goal?"
"You guys won the Cup last year. Is it important to show the fans that you're hungry to defend it?"

None of those players are much off what their career point averages are. They are all a bit low but they are not hugely off considering the small sample size for the year.

:handclap:

Looks like you've got your hands on the script that these broadcasters follow. The same cliched questions elicit the same cliched answers.

The worst part is that it's the WRONG SoCal baseball team! (sorry Herby).

But yeah, even if it was the Dodgers, I'd be upset. Dodgers or Angels Live doesn't show hockey coverage. Why should Kings Live show baseball coverage?
