40 minutes earlier.Should have pulled him earlier.
Dermott alone is a net negative. Please elaborate on them.
He didnt trade away any of our players, and didnt sign anyone besides dermott.
garbage time goal ftw
So he’s retiring after this year? No, I expect them to win it once though. How many generational talents have gone Cupless with the team that drafted them?
your right. He didnt sign match or trade anyone besides Dermott...Please elaborate on them.

Well this is what makes it such a tough alternate universe- if we lose the McDavid lottery then Chiarelli (and probably Holland) never becomes our GM. MacT was kept on as GM after the 2014-2015 season, he was only fired after we won the McDavid lottery. Supposedly that was because McDavid/Jackson had concerns about the Oilers management. If we lose that draft, MacT stays on at least one more year.I don't think so, the team actually had a solid foundation after the draft.
And like other stuff could happen, like does Chiarelli trade the 16th if he doesn't have McDavid?
Maybe if it's Eichel or Marner or Hanifin going 2nd or 3rd to us, maybe he keeps the 16th and drafts Barzal or Eriksson Ek.
I think one thing is for sure, Leon Draisaitl would likely be the face of the franchise.
Does this team look like a Cup contender to you?So he’s retiring after this year?
Smith was the best starter value in the whole league. Still didn’t stop us from running him outta town or into retirement. What was he paid? 2.25M? and the narrative was always “we can’t go into another season with Smith as our goalie”All you need to do is look at Mike Smith's save % his years with the Oilers. He was .902, .923, and .915
And he famously sought "outside help" after a poor first year
Schwartz sucks but Skinner is bad.
Did they look like a contender when they were 2-9-1 last year?Does this team look like a Cup contender to you?

When I'm saying defence I don't just mean defensive play. I mean breakouts, passing, neutral zone playBefore nurse got cheap shot we had the lowest xGA in the league dude.
Atleast that was Woody’s system we could lay that on last year. This year, it could be the personnel unless half our roster gets their heads out of their ass.Did they look like a contender when they were 2-9-1 last year?
He was. We just didn’t appreciate what we had before he was done and still putting up good numbers for a measly cap hit.I think he was done after that last run vs Colorado (injuries). It's too bad they didn't have a 37 year old Smith last year or vs Vegas. I think they could have gone all the way one of those years.
Smith is probably unironically the best goalie this team has had since Roloson. Hmm....
Nope, but are they closer to that or the team that went to the Cup Final last year?Did they look like a contender when they were 2-9-1 last year?
