Who'd have guessed that Kyrou would be SECOND on The Blues in +/- rating??? He's really been improving his 2-way game.
Man, I loved Paul Coffey.Parayko, close-in, had a good chance there. He's been playing like a forward, tonight, and I like it! He thinks he's Paul Coffey!
I was absolutely finished with him right before this stretch. He's showing a lot of fight for a guy his size in battles and really showing me something on defense. And looking more comfortable on offense, but that was always going to be his strong suit.Who is wearing 48? Ain’t no way that’s Peru
His coaches told him he'll have to start playing more physically, or he'll be demoted to The AHL, and never have an NHL career. He's been hitting, initiating contact, using his body leverage in fights for the puck, skating harder on the puck, pushing opponents off the puck. Bottom line, not only is he playing more effectively, but he's finally getting some respect from his NHL opponents, and all that has boosted his confidence. All that is the natural progression in making the adjustments to NHL play. Only that is supposed to happen during a [player's first half season. But, it's taken quite a bit longer than usual for Perunovich. But it's better late than never, and for many defencemen it never happens. So, I still have hopes for Perunovich to become an effective 2-way 2nd pairing D-man, who also will be able to run The Blues' 2nd PP team.Something has clicked with Scottie….actually looks passable defensively and offensively
He read this board and dug deep.I was absolutely finished with him right before this stretch. He's showing a lot of fight for a guy his size in battles and really showing me something on defense. And looking more comfortable on offense, but that was always going to be his strong suit.
I'm watching the Sharks feed, so I get a soft-spoken nerd and a chunky Mats Sundin clone with a beard.Alexa always gets my vote
Jordan Kyrou has only been on the Ice for 10 goals against 5v5 this year. Also the only forward who has played every game this season that has less goals against is Holloway who has 9 GA.He really has. Hustled on Tuesday to get back on an odd-man rush, hustled back tonight for the icing and what should have been a holding penalty when in years past he would have half-assed it. Between that and seeing Perunovich bail out Justin Faulk with a great defensive play, this is just a weird time to be a Blues fan. Lots of shit you wouldn't expect, much of it bad some of it encouraging.
In Svenska (Swedish) it's pronounced like an American consonental "Y", in this case. It should sound like "lihl-Yeh-Grehn". In Klejn (my last name) the "J" is silent.Sharks announcers are also pronouncing the 'j'. I also thought it was silent.
I've always pronounced his name that way and then thought I was wrong all this time.In Svenska (Swedish) it's pronounced like an American consonental "Y", in this case. It should sound like "lihl-Yeh-Grehn". In Klejn (my last name) the "J" is silent.
So far, my book on Askarov is poor puck handler, poor rebound control, but excellent lateral movement and a quick glove.Saad had his blast from the slot robbed by Askarov with a great glove save!
Yes, he has!Kyrou has been lining up a lot on the LW tonight
