Pretty impressive we’ve been putting up some decent goal totals without getting much of anything from the top line.
To be fair Detroit has one of the worst defenses outside of their top pair. I wonder if Warso would have the balls to try Eklund with Mack and Smith to get them buzzing here in the third. Feel like Granlund with Zetts and Goodrow (I personally would try Grundstrom) could still drive play. But Warso probably sees the Lund line as untouchable at the moment

Few thoughts:

-Toffoli is so good around the net. It just feels like he’s such an old pro, we haven’t had a guy who so comfortably scores in a long time.

-Eklund keeps getting better, I love watching him. The whole Lund line is really fun and I really marvel at Granlund’s tenacity and skill combo. Will Smith should be shadowing that guy.

-Smith looks the absolute best with Celebrini. He obviously still has a lot of work to do (they both need to get stronger obviously) but he’s actually winning battles and even looks a bit faster. Definitely 100x more confident and comfortable than he seemed even 2 weeks ago.

There’s a ton of Red Wings fans at the game. I’m enjoying that lack of recognition that they’re in year 8 of their rebuild and they can’t outplay a Sharks team that is clearly not trying to win. Kudos to you Red Wings, kudos.

You can't separate basically the only line that's been producing this game. I don't know what you do with the top unit, but I honestly don't think keeping Smith and Celebrini together is the way. Both immensely talented but both struggling rookies now.

As soon as players get taken off Celebrini's line they get points lol. Dude should be traded right after the game before he destroys Smith's game.

It is interesting to see Celebrini making plays in opponents' faces, but then the play goes for nothing because no one else can play in opponents' faces like he can, that is ever on his line.

It's fun to have many players (Eklund, Granlund, and Smith) playing deceptive games. Previous iterations of Sharks teams didn't have that many guys like that.
