Really? I thought he was playing a more solid game. He still has the occasional shaky play but he's been improving his consistency. He just may look a little bit better than the things that Rutta, Ferraro, Ceci and Walman have been doing.

Maybe Gretzky took the last raspberry danish at breakfast one morning and Murphy has never forgiven him for it and turned to a life of Gretzky slander out of petty spite.

Ideally I'd sacrifice Rutta on the altar of bringing up a promising Cuda kid. Realistically it'll probably be Thompson because reasons. But I do think that Thrun sort of represents the most reasonable compromise of those two extremes.
