My Italian friend says "Celebrini" is rooted in latin/italin words for brain (cerebral, cerebellum).
I think i'm gonna call him The Brain

Does that mean that Smith is Pinky? My Italian friend says "Celebrini" is rooted in latin/italin words for brain (cerebral, cerebellum).

At this point, probably won't happen without a Granlund trade and since the current configuration is working for both of them, I say leave it alone. As good as Celebrini-Smith looks, long-term, I'd much prefer Smith as a center.
There was a lot of Detroit rebuild talk here and I think them not having Celebrini type of prospect during this recent rebuild is what is keeping them from actually taking the next step. Also they've had a lot of bad luck with the lottery... but they have 4 Stanley Cups from 1997 to this day, so I'm not feeling sorry for them at all.
The highest pick they've had during this period was #4. They've done pretty well with the Larkin, Raymond and Seider picks, but the Zadina pick was a flop. They just haven't had the lottery luck to nab their own Celebrini and frankly, if we didn't have him, our rebuild would be looking worse than theirs.Loved that every line looked dangerous tonight to some extent!
A lot of bounces went Detroit way, which was frustrating because Sharks played well imo.
Right team won the game! LET'S GO SHARKS!
Also Celebrini is going to be sooooo good!

I looked at the stats from Larkin's draft to now, I would say that stats wise he was closer to Smith path wise, but with better stats in his first NHL season... so far. So I would say he's in between of Celebrini and Smith. Though I'm not the best evaluator of NHL players, I would say he is not the best 1C but a good one. They don't have a Celebrini prospect but they do have Larkin, who is very much a Celebrini kind of player except for when he is trying to headhunt lol. They both even wear 71 which is kinda weird actually.
lol it will be celebrini just becauseI hope Eklund stays hot for a while and becomes our ASG rep. I know Granlund would be the guy right now, but it would be much cooler if it was a homegrown guy who is ideally a big part of the future. I don't know how he is in the locker room, but on ice, he seems to be really turning into a leader. I expect to see a letter on his jersey soon, maybe even the C.
