I think maybe he thought for a second he was killing a penalty

jinx

I swear he plays most shifts as if he's on the PK but that's the most egregious example I've seen.

This is the part of the game where I feel like the Wings get lulled to sleep and play reactive until they get scored on instead of dictating play.

that was always my complaint about Glendening, who was a useful player, but an offensive black hole, and at that time we had to have a little depth scoring, we could not afford that guy, not in money, but in terms of scoring. Dallas could.

Oh and Glendening was a dickhead. That was my other complaint.

out of curiosity why do you say Glendening was a dickhead? I have no particular opinion of him either way.

I've told this story a few times, sorry to those who have already read it: For my birthday, my wife got us tickets to a meet-and-greet with the team, and entry into a poker tournament. I got to meet Datsyuk, Kronwall (what a wonderful man, talked to us for 10 minutes), Abdelkader (hated his contract but a really kind patient smart guy), everyone was great -- except for two guys:

Mike Greene and Luke Glendening.

I was quite courteous to Glendening, told him what a great story his success was, from walk-on in college to the NHL. Glendening just stood there and said nothing to me in reply, and glanced askance, disinterested. He's a full-on prick who thinks he's above such things as fans and commoners.

thank goodness we got through that PP without giving up a goal

maybe just absorb the trips and slashes from here on out guys, without any visible signs that the Bruins committed a penalty

Somehow not surprising that Mike Greene was a jerk but that's a bummer about Glendening as a local guy.

Honest question, is the the Compher we thought we were getting from Colorado? Because he’s garbage.
