Gerard Gallant when Kaapo Kakko asks him if he maybe could get some PP time after playing well at even strength:

Man with that goal Braden has a long way to go to catch up to that offensive dynamo Nils Lundkvist…..

What’s that? They both have 1 goal now on the year? And are separated by 1 pt? That can’t be let me check my notes because lundkvist gets a lot more ice time and pp time to so that can’t… no yes that is correct.

The kid line should be the “break glass in case of emergency” line when we are stagnant. Vesey and Goodrow can’t be top 6 most nights if we expect to go far.
Can't argue with that but then you have to break up the kid line. Maybe they need time to gel and just can't be thrown together anytime we need them.
But I totally understand putting Kakko back with Mika and CK. Getting Vesey out of there.
Sit Carpenter move Goodrow to 4th line and you have a decent 4th line

that 2nd on was actually a good pass
very good!!! not just the pass but he doesn't hesitate. He already knows what he is gonna do with the puck as soon as Trouba makes the pass to him. If he waits a split second the three kings between him and Chytil break up that pass.

For me, Ryan Lindgren was the spark that ignited the team’s explosion in that period.
he's always had underrated skill, fox rightfully gets a ton of praise but lindgren is actually a very good puckhandler on the attack, just not nearly as nimble from a stop and like the rest of the team cant pick a corner for sht aside from 1-2 snipes a season...but for a guy who was just an ok skater when he first showed up he's taken phenomenal leaps there. very smooth and great edges.
