Yeah, I know it's very too early to make such proclamations but I feel quite comfortable distrusting and being negative toward/pessimistic about the new regime. You know why? He's a rookie GM, he's a rookie coach, and Gorton/Bobrov have no recent success to speak of.
It really seems like an over-confident mickey mouse franchise move -- reminds me of those silly new regimes Tampa Bay would have. Barry Melrose behind the bench, thinking they've reinvented the wheel.
But that's just my negativity talking. It could be that MSL is a coaching prodigy and Kent Hughes -- the guy who drafted Slafkovsky and Reinbacher -- is a genius GM. We might be the new Tampa Bay of Cooper-Yzerman.
It'll be entertaining times either way.
