Well if the refs gave him two mins, theyd have blown the call, they went over it and why the call was made in the intermission.

The sens didn't play great, the refs blew a call that wiped out a good goal, both can be true

As for the what if scenario of how the game would have gone with Hughes still in, who knows, and who cares, that didn't happen.

Same goes to the what if they didnt blow a call, or blew 2 what would have happen ,who knows , who cares, didnt happen

But they played bad enough to lose thats for sure

That was maybe the most pathetic sequence of hockey I’ve ever seen live - and I go to ~10 games a year.

It was embarassing as f***. The most frustrating game I've attended live.

I’m disappointed in myself for buying last minute tickets on a whim today. I have to remind myself I did it for my 5 year old… but after the second he asked if we could home.

Hands down the worst game experience I’ve had. No life Ottawa crowd, only cheers and boos were from Vancouver fans. Bullshit effort until the game was out of reach. Embarrassing game of keep away where Van made us look like a peewee team. Weak goaltending. Early whistle (with barely a protest from the crowd). The usual BS trying to get home from the parking lot.

Bit of a rant, but I’m not sure what I’m going to do this year after the game I already have tickets for in Dec. spending 100s of dollars to sit in our barn wishing I was at home is an eye opener. Not sure about Sens on Demand next year either. But I’m annoyed, maybe I’ll come around.

There are too many passengers. Amadio and Perron, I wish we could just put them on waivers. There is a total of 4 points between the two. Perron has 0 pts in 9 games. Amadio has 4 pts in 20 games.

Some of the "Sens try after digging a hole" is confirmation bias because the opposing team is going to play differently after going up 3-1 or 4-1 in the third period. They are more likely to play a conservative game to defend the lead, which leads to more possession and chances for the Senators relative to the other team.

Honestly, this sucks.

Being a fan of this team is like joining a religion with no Sunday or holidays - there’s nothing to celebrate it’s like Monday morning every goodamn day.

I appreciated Brady hitting everything after the keep away, and then beating on Dakota who tried to play it off like what just happened. I appreciate Stu following suite and having a non fighter scrap with Hoglander because he was pissed too and for up off the ice and kept throwing punches.

I appreciate G coming over the boards pissed and talking shit, and I l appreciate how G scored a badass solo effort goal, and how Stu came out of the box and scored as well.

This team has lost for several years straight, but it’s only this year where they are actually in each game, and actually feel each loss in terms of games they could have, and many should have, won.

Lots of tweaks need to be made, but this looks like a real team that played NHL hockey finally. Obviously it would have been nice if we had been doing this 4 years ago.

I watched this game in a room full of of friends who are bucks fans……. Lol

Mistake 4: Overestimating the strength of our D core by thinking JBD, Kleven and Hamonic can play regular minutes

It wouldn't have if you went in with the expectations that this team is complete garbage and will never win another game.

Then when they lose, it's fun to make fun of them, and then if they win, you go to bed happy.

It's a win win.

The team deserves criticism when they suck, so do the refs, can't pick and choose.

You're often defending this team when they're sucking though. Not sure why. Nothing good comes out of it. I'm sure it isn't fun trying to constantly defend a team that always falls short.

Just make fun of them. Call them garbage and other things. Try it. You know you wannaaaaaaaaa.

He was not sitting at home recovering from an injury for 6 weeks, with that he would have been in and out of treatment, on the bike, doing other workouts with the injury. He stayed away completely from the gym and ice to be with his family. This guy did nothing for a very long time. So, he gets a bit of a break. But, Cousins has done nothing, sit him. Amadio is doing nothing....Pinto looks disengaged and lost. Ullmark, who at first was like a security blanket for the guys has showed his teammates that he needs them to play hockey. All of this has ruined the confidence of the whole group.

In the beginning of season it was genuinely unlucky play with trash goaltending in inopportune times.

Now it's a coaching issue. That was the worst game I saw the Sens play this year and it was exactly how Ottawa played last 8 years. Abysmal.

We made Connor Garland look like prime Kariya.

Ullmark still trashing it up. No matter what anyone says, we are not getting top 5 goaltending in the league. Which is what Ullmark is supposed to be. He still has yet to outdueling opposing goalie, lmfao. Garbage.

I still think we be patient. Too much talent on this team and we have shown to dominate.

The effort level is down 50% from when this team was playing well.
They are back to their lack of attention to detail and lack of commitment on defense.
They're compete level is not close to where it has to be.

They just can't sustain it and they just can't deliver when the pressure notches up.

This is 100% on the players and not on the coaches.

The coaches message has not changed from when they were out there to win every shift to where they are now.
