This comment is weird. They didn’t decide to start playing when they’re out of it because they were lazy.

They just don’t know how to play under pressure. They never learned how to.

It's not weird coming from someone who probably never watch the Sens. I would say that it's actually because hey just go through motions, they don't play with urgency. I thought they had finally learned earlier in the season but they're back to their cruise-control habits.

It was well known that Green’s system in Vancoiver was to let Demko and Markstrom bail the team out every night. Not sure why people thought this would be different.

People will say he's not the problem, and I don't think he's the main one myself, but he doesn't seem to bring anything special to the team either. He's just there.

Stutzle has had a goal waived off as "interference" and another one tonight with an early whistle while the puck was loose behind the goalie. Were they both at 5 on 5 or were neither? I thought the Carolina one was.

But I agree not enough is happening at 5 on 5 especially with any line that doesn't have Stutzle on it.

Team was bad under DJ, bad under Jacques, bad under Green. We’re all their systems bad?

To me you can see the structure, which is coaching. There is no execution whatsoever, not sure what Green can do about this team not being able to receive a pass.

The team only plays physical once it's out of reach. Brady only fights when he wants an early night.

We need someone like Neil who will play physical to wake the team up early.

Fair enough. Jacques is the only one with merit there though, the other two have done a lot of losing and not much else in the NHL.

Are core is clearly immature though.

Lets be real if the refs were better, Hughes gets 2 minutes for cross checking, stays in the game, and we lose 6-2.
Well if the refs gave him two mins, theyd have blown the call, they went over it and why the call was made in the intermission.

The sens didn't play great, the refs blew a call that wiped out a good goal, both can be true

As for the what if scenario of how the game would have gone with Hughes still in, who knows, and who cares, that didn't happen.

Difficulty receiving a pass, and difficulty making good passes. In the last minute of the game with the goalie pulled...D passes the puck up the board behind a forward who doesn't know where the puck is coming from..who is lucky to gain possession...and then tries to pass the puck through center ice through two Vancouver players to a teammate. The puck doesn't make it (obviously) and if the Canucks player was a bit more on the ball, they'd have an easy shot into an empty net from the neutral zone.

Those kinds of dangerous, low percentage passes when there are guys open in other areas of the ice where it would've been an easier play...that's the kind of stuff they do way too often. It's like most of the guys on the team are wearing horse blinders and just don't see half the ice surface at all. Very little hockey IQ/vision out there.

Yeah that’s what I’m saying maybe the 12th guy will be the solution.
Well before this game we were holding teams off in terms of scoring chances. One of the best in the league actually at suppressing high danger chances.

Other goalies play fine hockey.

I wasn’t in favor of tanking last two years but man they desperately need another star forward or star d man. Like desperately. No ability to break a game open or takeover.

Quite embarassing display from Tkachuk tonight.

Score made it look closer than it actually was.

When they didn't score on the 5 minute major with Quinn Hughes ejected I knew they lost the game.
Tkatchuk is good in exactly one place on the ice.

6 million on the second line and he’s your hero. Front line and face of the franchise… he will quickly become the whipping boy. We are asking him to do things far outside his talent level

They can't trade or waive him because his M-NTC was amended to a NMC with his extension. GG.

With that said, I think he will be fine long-term in the retool, so long as this experience doesn't cause him to quit goaltending.
I wonder if Ullmark's play is suffering because he has no idea what his teammates will do next. Will they turn the puck over? How many 2-1 will he have to face? Will they screen him? Will they just puckwatch? Which opposing player will they track, if any? It's too chaotic out there in the D zone, it must be exhausting and it looks like it's affecting his play. He's so deep in his net too much of the time or out of position. I don't think he's forgotten how to goalie, he should get back on track. At least I'm hoping that's the case, otherwise it's going to be a long 4.5 years.

He sat out for that type of money and used the C as leverage for getting it.

Before having done anything to earn it.
