I think they're lacking a guy who can shoot from far out. Like a prime Hoffman type player. Norris is really the only guy who can do that, but he's a defensive center so he's not going to be hovering around the perimeter looking to find open ice very often.

Do we really pay 8MM$ for a defensive C?

Ya, it's mystifying... Hockey must be piecework like, performance based. It is not Ridley hating to observe/suggest that he has not earned top lines status. Everybody can opine on whether he will warrant that at some point, but at this point it is more simply that he has not earned it.

He had very clearly played himself out of the top 6 imo. No idea why on earth he is put out there again and again. He generates nothing and is out of place. Not hating and I am sure he will be a good player but he should not be in the Top6 atm. No idea who is a better fit though, sadly.

I agree Hoffman had a much better shot, but Norris is the closest on the team to that. Maybe Stutzle but he's a pass first guy.
