Columbus have been playing with quite a lot of pride and heart in very difficult circumstances. Not often you can say a bottom 5 team in the standings has been playing above itself but I think they have so far done just about as well as you could ask for, and then some. Respect.
But they have been much better at home, understandably, and are only 1-6-2 on the road. So there are no excuses for the Bruins here. They simply must win.
The Blue Jackets coming to town does really put it all in perspective though. The loss of Johnny and Matt still feels so raw. A reminder to the Bruins players perhaps that whatever their recent struggles and lack of enjoyment, they are very fortunate to do what they do and one way or another it will not last for long. Make the most of it, every day.
