It's funny...
ALJo is exactly as advertised. Entirely dependable, smart, low maintenance, and just really looked poised. But you can see the limit of his total package: good shot, not great. Solid breakout pass, but it's turning heads or leading a guy loose on a breakaway, looks to keep in the mix, but he's not bodying anyone etc. He is controlled, steady, smart, and entirely 'quiet. I love it.
And Ed is quite literally the opposite. Every time he's out there he does 3-4 physically amazing things where you salivate at the potential, and then rushes something or gives up too early, or makes a goofy choice. He's early 1st period dangle last game, and there was a causal cross ice pass he made through the neutral zone from blue line to blue line where you go 'wow' with just a flick of his wrist but then he gets caught out of position, or has his back to the play, or whatever. And I kind of love this too.
These too are literally opposites in my mind right now. Just have to find them some real partners.
