Yup to me thats more concerning than getting that 1st down right or wrong.
They had their chances on both sides of the ball and screwed it up. Just not a very good team.

I don’t understand how you can for sure know where the ball is. It’s not ON the field. Unless you can ensure that you are getting a camera angle shooting straight across the field exactly at the marker, you can’t make that call. You’re talking about inches. Considering the camera has to stand to one side or the other from where the sticks are, it’s not a direct angle.
I think the odds are that it WAS NOT a first down. But the idea that you can overturn something that close from a camera located however far off the marker is insane to me. When the ball touches the grass, he has the first down. The call on the field was a first down. You cannot convince me that is absolutely 100 percent certain not a first down. I’ll give it an 85%.

Put Mac on the Dolphins and see what would happen.
Sucks that they were inches from a first down but it's another Mac Jones drive with the game on the line where he takes a costly early down sack and the offense can't get it done. 33 games and still only one 4th quarter comeback or game winning drive in his career.
The margin for error is so thin you need a clean game from Mac or a defensive score. You're not gonna win scoring 17-20 points.

Pats would never surround him with or pay those kinda weapons so we need the QB to be better, or just an improved offensive line.

It was short, clearly. But rather than bitch about the spot, why not ask why they called for a 3 yard pass when they needed 4 yards to get the first down? Just brutal coaching decisions in the second straight game.
Problem is half of these guys get hurt all the time. You can't rely on them to be healthy.
They should go no-huddle full time
