What are you guys talking about? I thought our first line of Clifford-Fraser-Nolan played really well that period. ;)

Like the speed the team showed in the 1st, making the Avs cough it up a lot. Limiting the Avs chances, 4th is looking good, had a really nice shift by the 3rd. I liked seeing Penner using his body and how Drew and Kopi look.

I'm getting very frustrated watching our top lines constantly overpass, and then blow perfect passes when the get them. There is no simplicity in their game and they have very little camp to get used to the flow with eachother.

Then why get so frustrated? They had 6 days to get back into the swing of things after a 7 month layoff, with 2 to 3 months of those celebrating a cup win. It should be expected they are going be rusty. If you watch other games, all of them have been sloppy.

Kopitar seems fully capable of playing the point, better than Muzzin or Richards. Put Kopitar with Doughty and have Richards with Carter and Penner in front of the net.

They need tokeep things simple. It's not the result that is frustrating, it's what is leading to the result. So many high percentage shots being passed up to try to squib something by.

I agree, but I just chalk it up as getting back into the groove of things. If they're still doing it after 5 games, than I'll start getting frustrated.

Kopi looks good, doesn't seem to be favoring the knee in any way. he's playing how he always plays. only thing i haven't seen yet is him going into a high traffic area, where he may get tangled up. other than that he's controlling flow and possession when he has the puck.

Muzzin looks alright so far. no real mistakes to speak of. only time he looked shaky was the last PP of the 1st (he's play the left pt on the #1 with DD) and the puck came back into the LA zone (left corner). he over analyzed the situation and his play. go to DD? go to the fwd breaking up the slot? by the time he made a pass the COL forechecker was on him and the puck got hung in the corner.

btw, Richards sporting the A now in Greene's absence. no surprise there

how the **** is that a penalty on martinez, dueschene just cleared him out with his arm
