I think it's the other way around, Galchenyuk earned his ice time tonight. He was on a mission since the beginning of the game, that's what Julien wants out of him on a nightly basis.

It's the classic coach's dilemma...Julien will say I got exactly what I needed out of Galchenyuk when I needed it. Fans will say you could have gotten that earlier if you weren't such a blockhead

I dunno where I stand. If Julien stuck to his guns and buried Chucky all night on the 4th I'd be pissed. But he gave him PP time and time with good players when we needed a goal and it paid off. So...

That's bullcrap. Galchenyuk wasn't playing like that when he was with the great Martinsen and Ott. He plays like that when he's with better players.

Exactly...He EARNED his icetime tonight, he forced the coaches hand

Bullcrap again. He was NOT playing like that with the plugs that are Martinsen and Ott. He started to suddenly EARNED it when he was paired with better players.

So he's suddenly not a liability out there? What a joke.

All we did was waste game one. And he's been wasted for most of game two so far as well. Totally dumb. If you think he's a liability then bench the guy if you're going to play him on the 4th. He's not going to score there and you mitigate the defensive liability.

Well that's probably the case for virtually every player. He was engaged in the play moreso tonight.
