Yall know I have to do it, it's been working for a surprisingly long amount of time.

We're gonna be exhausted, play like shit for 55 minutes and go down 3-0 only to score 2 goals in the last 5 minutes when the Hurricanes start dozing off but we'll fall short of the comeback.

It's just the Panthers way!

Blue Jay Way..
There’s no reason to not win this series in 4.

True. And that’s why I think we’ll win this game 2.

And I think we’ll win this series and a game 7 won’t be needed.
I said Panthers in 7 for my prediction. I think it's going out the window since there was a 40T game 1.

Now saying panthers in 6.

I hope starting Bob after so little rest is not a mistake... he's been absolutely essential to this run; can't afford him to get hurt. Then again, Maurice probably discussed it with him and the conditioning people; if Bob says he's good to go, then you have to trust him with that call.

Seems like Carolina is sticking with Anderson as well, at least I haven't heard otherwise?

Let's go Panthers!!!

To quote @KW from the previous GDT:

I think this speaks volumes about the Panthers and their testament to fitness. Maurice has mentioned how hard they pushed the team in training camp in terms of wearing them down physically with drills and he said the boys responded.

I think this group prides itself on being very fit and it shows up in games like this. Canes were definitely dragging their feet a lot more, the Cats were still flying in the 4th OT, I literally couldn't believe the forecheck they were still able to produce after 130 minutes of hockey.

Thought it was awesome. A lot of people have talked about how fit and physical Canes are, but very little gets said about the Panthers fitness. Monty looked like he could've played another 5 periods!

Also great article on the athletic today about all the changes since Zito joined. Fitness and health being a big component. Only like a handful of guys used to do post game workouts?? Players had to pay for their own pre game meals?! It's a wonder we ever won any games at all.

Now we got the performance department, all the right foods, full time sports psychologist, all the best equipment, the works. It's no wonder things have started to turn up. We're being run like a real org. now. And just add importantly we have players that want to put in the work.

Said it a lot before in the past when Viola first took over. People were so excited about spending to the cap, but that don't mean shit without all the support needed to maximize the roster's potential. Finally feels like that is happening.

Anybody have a little gif of Bob's cel after the game ended - just before he fell down with Gus embracing him? The most emotion I have ever seen of him. He knew that this was big. Hopefully, he'll be lights out again tonight

You know Carolina is gonna throw the kitchen sink at them tonight.
Here's hoping Carolina is Feeling defeated from game 1. That's a really tough loss to come back from.
Interesting dynamic how does a team like Carolina not want to drift from a system that essentially limits your choices offensively. Being an underdog in a limited series may have them open up some lanes for the Cats to pounce !!!!

A win tonight would be huge. Game starts at 2AM here, so will probably wake up a few times to check score. Dont get a good night sleep with playoff hockey on the line.

Go Cats Go!
