How is lindholm looking?

I feel he should be #1C and Rask bumped to 3rd line

Lindholm plays right wing, almost exclusively now, and if you go by TOI, Rask is getting 3rd line minutes.

Thought Hanifin rebounded nicely, which was good to see. Hopefully it continues. Darling played like everything we hope he can be, hopefully that also continues. Thought Kuokk was fine first two periods but he was pretty bad in the third.

All-in-all, 3/4 points is very nice to have and although we probably should've won that, it was nice to see some resilience. That's two straight games with goals in the final two minutes, which is awesome although I would prefer we do not need to score in the final two minutes.

I thought Kuokkanen struggled last night. Lost most puck battles, made a few "rookie" passes that were picked off. Was manhandled and generally not effective. Looked like a guy that belongs in the AHL.

Not surprising as CLB is a big, fast team and he's 19 years old.

I know it was a Tuesday night game but I was really disappointed looking at the crowd. We just came off and exciting win against a good Minnesota team and I thought there would be more carry over in terms of butts in seats. It felt like the Canes really thrived on Saturday from us and less so yesterday.

I don't know if anyone else feels this way but I feel safe in the goaltending department in a way I don't remember feeling in a really long time from these first two games. It's not just that Darling's good because anyone can see that but he shows a lot of poise in the crease. If he can keep this up and we get our defense clicking there is no reason that he can't be a top 10 goaltender.

I can understand why we struggled so much. At ice level you could really see that there was no space for anything productive on offense. From a casual perspective I think that this would be an awful playoff series but the defense is incredible. Our boys need to work on their dump and chase though...oof.

I was surprised and disappointed in the attendance too especially coming off a sellout opener that was an emotional/dramatic kind of win. But, you have to think, if they continue playing at this level for a couple months people will start to realize this is a much better team than it has been the last few years. People have heard "Oh this year is different" too many times without ever seeing that fulfilled.

This is a much better feeling than last year where we should have been 2-0 but were 0-0-2 after blowing 3 goal leads to Winnipeg and Vancouver

Liked how Lindholm looked, he is playing right, you can see that he has few years of NHL experience now and for me he was the best forward yesterday.

Our FO% was really good too, if we can keep winning faceoffs, we will have more chances, and more chances means more goals.

The crowd looked about like I expected it would. Tuesday against a team with little to no fan following in the area. It looked bad, and will continue to in those instances until the team builds up a little steam and we get to the 1st of the year.

Scrambled and got a point out of a game that was looking like a regulation loss. Need those points to make the playoffs.

Not to mention it's going to cost over 10 dollars to eat, let a lone get a beer which prices jumped from 11 to 12 bucks this year. Furthermore, they want 20 dollars for parking.

There are only 6-7k STM last I heard. Leads me to believe the non-STM related attendance was close to zero.

The Canes are really trying their damndest to piss off the existing STH as well. They raised all food prices about 20+% from last year, but now have a 15% "STM Discount". A discount is supposed to be for STM, however The implementation of this system has been a nightmare. At this point they require you to place a credit card on your Canes STM card to receive any discount. No cash or credit cards at the point of purchase. Only one credit card can be placed on an entire account, so if you bring friends or family to the game and they want a discount then they have to pay with your linked credit card. Just a mind bogglingly stupid system.

I should note that they have reached this point because they realized they were accidentally double-charging STM for purchases made in the arena. If you used your number solely for the discount, the money was likely subtracted from your account on top of the cash or credit card you paid with at the vendor. Most card this happened to (including mine) are now locked while they try to fix the issue, which with the new policy means I get no discounts. On top of that nobody knows what is going on. Canes building management is hilariously undertrained and underprepared. It will get worse before it gets better.

All they need is one button they can press that says "STM" and discounts all food in the transaction. The lengths they are going to in concessions and parking to try and reduce fraud is pissing off their small, loyal fan base. What MBA came up with this stupid crap?

They seemed to be losing when it really counted most though. Several lost FO's in the offensive zone, and on the PP. I'm totally happy with 3 out of 4, but I still don't see a path to the playoffs without a better PP. I hope it improves. It looked a lot better in pre-season, and I know that's not really a thing, but they were at least skating and moving the puck much better. Columbus is a fast, and stifling team so any issues (and there are several) we have with a man advantage will be magnified.

Concessions management told all employees last night:

"If the customer doesn't have a STM swipe card with money loaded on it or a CC attached to it - no Discount"

I have verified it because I couldn't believe it. That is their official policy now. No lanyard visual verification, no typing of PID numbers, no "I've seen you here for the past decade". Guilty until proven STM.

Every single Food Menu in the arena is advertising the great deals you get by becoming a STM. Every STM I talked to last night was complaining about being refused their discount. It's so poorly run it's a miracle anything gets done at all.
