Ok im not one to complain about the refs but did Petro seriously just get a penalty for being knocked over and landing on the puck?

He got the penalty for intentionally putting his hand over the puck so the opponent couldn't play it.

Unfortunately, on that one, that was technically the proper call. They insituted that crap this year. I don't understand all this tinkering with all these rules. They are fine the way they are. Let them play for crying out loud.

I actually like it. Keeps people from putting their hands over the puck when they're lying on the ice in scrums near the net, or in the corners.

Except there was already a rule in place for that kind of thing. In a situation like this, there's no reason to call it. Wilson was a good three steps behind him.

The problem is that you get calls where people fall and their hand lands on the puck
