I wonder if it's possible to trade for OEL.

What would it take? Martinez and two 1st round picks? LoL, 2017 & 2018? Probably Clifford & Forbort, too.....

Jets fan here, recently moved to LA so I'll be going to some games (including tonight's). Any players I should focus on (as I haven't been following the Kings much)?

Lucic, Nolan, and Brown. So when you see a main board thread you can say you saw that **** live!

and those people would be kinda right..need to show up against better teams

That concept only works in college sports, where the gap between the best and worst is so large that you schedule (and pay) the worst team knowing their is about a 99.9% chance you will win. AZ still has guys who can play on most NHL teams, whether it's OEL, Vermette etc. That's not say their aren't games you should expect to win, this is certainly one.

I don't think we have anything that Arizona would want (and we would give up) for OEL

Coyotes are the worst team in the NHL. Kings will win 12-0 and Dustin Brown will get a natural hat trick on a 5 goal night.

I'm serious, Coyotes truly suck and don't tank like the Sabres do. Expect for the Coyotes to finish 30th in the NHL.

Arizona's own Auston Matthews won't be a bad consolation prize. It would be worth the agony. We know, we had to endure a lot of garbage to land a pick like Doughty.

Hey, welcome jetsforever! Say, what do you think about modifying your user name a little, just a smidge? Like say, jetsforeverbutkingsfornow?

Depends on what story line interests you.

Last year rookie, in the Calder Cup race until fate played him a cruel hand and he broke his leg the day his announcement to the All-Star Rookie Team was announced. Tanner Pearson, #70, finally returns to the team he loves and the line that rocked the world, That '70s Line.

Our most promising young player, Tyler Toffoli, #73 is a sniper to make any Kings fan proud. Last year Toff led the league in shorthanded goals. Never one to turn down a request to make a charity or community appearance for the Kings, Toffoli signed a reasonable bridge deal instead of cashing in big as an RFA, enabling the trade for Milan Lucic to happen.

If you're a sucker for an underdog story, look out for undersized Jordan Weal, newly #19. Weal was called up for the very last game last season. Flying across country, flying in his family to Los Angeles for his very first NHL game, Jordan got a good view of the game...from the pressbox. Many thought the 5'10" Weal would never see a regular season game in a Kings uniform. It was only his driven performance in the Calder Cup playoffs and his winning of the playoffs MVP award that center Weal was finally thought of as a serious contender for a roster spot. Look for the shorter player zipping around the ice, probably playing wing on (sigh) the 4th line.
