Not thrilled with Jones as #7 but not really thrilled with their #8 or #9 either.

For those that follow the prospects, do we have any D in the AHL that will potentially be a legit NHL player soon?

That's nothing about this game that indicates to me a team that can't win. It's just a game where nothing went their way. Every Cup winner has bad losses from that season.
That's a completely different statement then the comment you made that I replied to

Schneider is going to be really good but he's 22 it's gonna be a couple years. Not sure they can wait. Jones doesn't help in any facet and shouldn't be in the NHL.

I think the biggest issue is you're seeing the difference between Gus and Jones more so than not having Lindgren.

Gus-Fox has been great.

Jones not really making his case to get more games moving forward. GA 1 was a tough bounce but GA3 doesn't happen if he gets under Jenner's stick. He was on his hip and in the right position but just kind of tried to muscle him out of the way (good luck, he has like 40 lbs on you) instead of doing the easier (and correct thing.)

That said, this has been a weird game. I don't think the team has been bad tonight aside from Trocheck who hasn't made a single good play with the puck in this game.
At the same time, Jones has made a couple of slick Fox-like plays at the point moving the puck and keeping the play alive.

No it isn't.

Valley is looking for signs that nothing changed.

You can already see that a lot has changed. When they go back to generating two chances a game, I'll be concerned.
He absolutely is not looking for signs of no change. He flat out was saying to ensure that the guys follow thru to continue with the new changes rather than just toss the towel in on a shit game. Absolutely nothing he said was "this is gallant era 2.0," nothing...
