The understated good news is that they've committed more off sides than they have all of 2 years under Gallant. They're pushing the pace within their attacking system. That's always a good sign. We had the least odd man rushes, breakaways and offsides of any team in the league under Gallant
 
I think the offside has it's purpose but it could be evolved. Basically a version where you have two lines. Offensive zone would be the same size but there is a second "frist time crossing" line. Basically extending the neutral zone.
I'd just look at changing when the play can be reviewed. If the scoring team gained an advantage (other than being able to enter) from going offside, you can call it back. Otherwise the goal stands.

This way, pretty much only transition goals where the player going offside was actually involved in the play, would be called back.
 
We had a lucky bounce goal and a goalline clear that was a hair on our side
We had two goals scored overturned for offside

Just need to calm down a little and we got this

I’m not sure what the answer is, but the result is we lose a goal for a non-consequential action.
