But "geometry!"

Do you remember when that was the buzz word around here early last year as to why an effective but entirely predictable pp should have been altered?

It was like people didn't think the NHL had pre scouts for games and playoffs series...
once again ol' Kirk saw if before everyone else did. Also re; Laviolette, Zibanejad,

It’s the culture of this organization. Been this way since I’ve been a fan. (1965). Except for messier’s first go around and the early days of Gilbert ratelle and others, this organization has accepted losing. No one seems to care. It’s embarrassing. It makes me want to say the hell with them and I do. But then after a few weeks I come back. Maybe I’m the fool for still supporting them. I don’t know. It’s just so hard to root for them. And it’s not just this group. It’s been this way for decades. Sorry for the rant.
I'm right there with you since 1979.

Until laf gets on pp1 Mika and kreider still safe. Ugh.
I dare ask this question though, what is laffys role on a pp? He has t played on one constantly for 4 or 5 years now and when he is on one he looks lost and like he's forcing stuff. Where is he best suited bc I can't tell that right now. He isn't a great passer and he is not a one time threat. Is laffy a bumper player? What's his role on an effective pp?

He needs to be on it to figure it out. He hasn't had the chance to play with Panarin and fox on it. He would essentially play panarins role but still. I want to see him over Mika. Every puck explodes off of his stick. Weak player

I was going at people heavy with the pp about Trocheck in the bumper and panarin running it on the right wall since panarin would never shoot and it showed EVERY team in the league that the nyr pp was either right to left or right to low, but nothing more than that. Nothing to the slot, nothing originating for the left side or even high point. It was just so scripted. You may have seen it as well but other like myself were fighting the geometry bullshit

NYC has too much to offer. The culture of this organization will always be a country club. Many players will want to play here for things other than Hockey unfortunately and it will always be that way.

No, you don't just toss him out there and say figure it out. I'm asking what position on a modern NHL 1 3 1 pp structure does laffys skill set fit best? The answer is not "go out there and figure it out" that attitude is why this team is what it is
