Sure thing Brodon. Lets keep using the injury excuse instead of holding players accountable.

Sutter holds all his players accountable, which is why he called out Quick and the D last night. And if you are a hockey fan and understand how the game is played, then you should have sense enough to recognize that losing Mitchell and Greene has changed the complexion of the Kings defense. If both are healthy, the pairings are different, Doughty's TOI is different and he a much better player. Sutter (unlike you) understands the game of hockey.

And the fact that you think Shattenkirk is a better defenseman that Doughty, says a whole lot.
At 23 Doughty isn't even close to what his potential is. And Sutter, Lombardi and anybody else with any kind of knowledge of the game knows that.

So much hand-wringing after a loss. You'd think I walked into the Canucks board ;)

Nah. J/K. You guys are mostly taking this in stride.

TBH, I had you guys pegged for a 4-2 win over our "one-line team", but for some reason the Kings D was just awful last night.

Toss in the fact that H. Sedin looked genuinely pissed off for the whole game and I guess we'll just take the points and move on to the next one.

You guys know you have a good team to cheer for, so I'm sure this loss will just be a small speed-bump along the way to the playoffs.

I had a bunch of other things to say, but I hear you guys don't like my type in these here parts. Later.

Of course we lost. I attended the game. Man I hate those fans. Sure felt nice though to be able to retaliate the heckling with "I don't see a Stanley cup banner here, do u"?

That shut them up quick.

Had to do my walk of shame with a minute left. I proudly tipped my hat to all the fans reminding them again who the champs are.

llooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooll at this talk about trading Doughty.

Ye lets set this team back 10 years, great plan.

Would love to see Doughty get traded, then watch Voynov or Martinez or whoever else is given the #1 tough minutes in his place, just get eaten alive night in night out

Could you imagine how bad this defense would be without Doughty right now? Dean should be fired on the spot if he even considers trading Doughty. (which, of course, he won't do)

He hasn't shown he's a "once in a decade defender" all year and hasn't even played close to be a $6/mil a year player. I do believe we should give him more time to turn his game around, but at this rate he's more Bouwmeester than Weber. If he's still ******** the bed by playoff time, then its time to reevaluate his role. There's some very good players we could get for him.

I don't see the logic here. He's not even in his prime yet and the return would not be worth the risk. The team has struggled out of the gate this season due to the hangover and Drew is easily pulling top ice time in the NHL as his role has changed since two stay at home D Men are injured. It's not right to change someone's role and then penalize him for it. It makes no sense to consider a trade.

There should be a 24 hour cooling off period mandatory for fans before they post inane drivel in these boards. First loss after a five game win streak and people are ready to persecute Doughty and Quick and who knows who else. Seriously people?

Let's try to think rationally for a moment. Step away from your keyboards and take a deep breath.

7-3-0 in our last 10. I'm very happy with that.

It's only one poster wanting to trade doughty. He is only playing over 26 min a night playing in all situations. He has not been as bad as cowboy is pointing out and shatten**** sure in the hell is not a better player.

Both Doughty and Scuderi have been having problems of late but it's a product of trying to make up for the young defensemen over time. If Mitchell and Greene come back soon that should take the pressure off and let them just worry about themselves.
