I don't think Kings played that bad but Quick let two in that he should have. Scuderi backing of on Hansen surprised me that gave Hansen time to take the shot. Well it happens.

Start a new winning streak.

I think the book was already out that Phaneuf was a shell of his former self at that point, thus the weak return. If Doughty keeps playing like this, then yeah it'll continue to hurt his value. But I think he's still mostly renown. We got a nice return for Johnson (even with the pick) thanks to an incompetent GM in Columbus.

Trading Drew Doughty would be the dumbest thing the Kings have ever done.

It would be franchise killing, Unless Crosby is coming back the other way.

Drew would be the best player in any trade (except Stamkos,Crosby,Giroux,Weber,Malkin).

You don't trade a once in a decade Defender, that is 23 years old.

Some people are acting like Drew is over 30.....

Drew is playing too many minutes, he has to adjust. That takes time, it's not going to happen in 19 games.

It may not even happen for 48 games. The Coaches may find out, they can't play Drew 28 minutes a night.

Look what happened to the Rangers Defenders playing those type of minutes...All injured.

The Hawks had to dial Kieth back too, and he looks like his Norris self again....

He hasn't shown he's a "once in a decade defender" all year and hasn't even played close to be a $6/mil a year player. I do believe we should give him more time to turn his game around, but at this rate he's more Bouwmeester than Weber. If he's still ******** the bed by playoff time, then its time to reevaluate his role. There's some very good players we could get for him.

Completely ridiculous.

Guess we should trade Quick too, and that Kopitar guy that slumps ever year.

Richards too for being out of shape this year.

Why stop at Drew Doughty. Kings should trade any player that has problems adjusting to more minutes or slumps yearly.

Canucks picked the corners well. It was just one of those games.

We'd still murder them in a 7 game series.

I didn't say trade any of those other guys, we're talking about Doughty here, a D-man who's success directly correlates to us winning, although somehow we've won with him sucking the whole way, minus that nice hit against *****man. If he can't pull his head out of his ass soon, something needs to be done.

In other news, it looks like Shattenkirk would cost a lot to get and I doubt St. Louis would trade him to another team in the West unless they were getting something good in return.

Without looking at the name, If I told you your favorite Hockey team had.

A defender who was 23 years of age, already won"

1. Stanley Cup
2. Gold Medal (Olympics)
3. Gold Medal (World JR)
4. Norris finalist

Also

32 playoff Games (games that matter).

9 Goals 18A 27points.

Would you trade him ?

If he keeps up this awful play, then yes. If he can't get it together come playoff time then it should be considered an option...

When has Drew never got it together come playoff time....

Hasn't happened once in his career yet.

And your boy Shattenkirk was awful last year in the playoff's. So you should scratch him off your list.

Cause Shatty has not proved yet, he can even handle a simple playoff game.

The Kings made him look like a pylon last year.

Love how you entertain the notion of trading Drew, for players that have proved nothing.

What's with your hardon for Shattenkirk? You're completely overvaluing the guy. Go to a Blues fan and propose Doughty for Shattenkirk and practically anything else on their team and I guarantee you they say yes in a heartbeat. You're being reactionary.

Shattenkirk as a #1, minute-eating all around d-man over Doughty? Yeesh.

Bingo...

It's like the Twilight zone around here after losses.

I blame fantasy hockey, it has ruined people.

They think if a player is not putting up video game numbers, they suck.

Also blame NHL video games for the constant "Trade this guy, Trade that guy".

Not all trades have your team coming out smelling like a rose, and not all trades are a good idea.

I am pretty sure if Lombardi traded Drew right now for say (Shattenkirk, Taresanko, 1st and a 2nd).

Lombardi would be fired.

Shattenkirk has been better than Petro all year, just ask any Blues fan. That also means he's outplayed Doughty this year as well. He's gonna be real real good and still plenty young. And any trade involving Doughty and Shattenkirk would most likely have us getting something else in return, I would hope. Doughty's been horrid, no goals, minus player, even outplayed by Voynov, its ****ing pathetic.

19 games bro....I guess we just disregard the rest of his career.

You are amazing.

Shattenkirk? C'mon man.

Overreact much?

Let me guess... you're a fantasy hockey player? Doughty is ten times the defenseman Shattenkirk is.

I also love how Slava (bless his heart) couldn't even move the puck last night under heavy fore check and was a minus player as well.

It's like people don't even watch the games.

I counted four turnovers on one shift for Slava last night...I don't think I have ever seen Drew turn over a puck that much in one shift; like ever in his entire career.

Fantasy hockey is a joke. Guess we'll have to just sit back and watch to see if he can turn it around, which I'm hoping he will. So far, he hasn't given any indication. You guys need to watch more Blues games as well, Shattenkirk is a damn good D-man for his age. Doughty could go the way of Bouwmeester or Phaneuf, which would really be a ****in shame...

I watched the Blues get swept last year, all the Blues Hockey I need to see.

Shattenkirk, didn't even notice he was on the ice. How about that lambasting the Kings gave them this year.

That was when Mike Richards was out of shape, and Drew/Kopitar playing awful.

The Blues get the Kings on a Back to Back here soon, should be fun.

Lets see if the Blues show up this time.

...Because having to play a more defensive role since 2 of your defensive defenseman are out for the year means you're getting complacent offensively. Definitely.

Sure thing Brodon. Lets keep using the injury excuse instead of holding players accountable.
