His shot’s lethal. I don’t think it’s goalies. Up until a few games ago he looked great but couldn’t score. Lately though he seems to be playing without confidence.

There’s no doubt the checking is tighter but he was still getting great chances. Seems to be shooting earlier now, not taking his time to get in closer.

Yeah there's nothing wrong with his shot speed; it's the fact that he has two go-tos right now. He either comes off the goalline and tries to go short side and surprise the goalie (which I don't think has worked this year) or, when he's in the slot, he goes top-shelf short side.

It's just predictable right now. He needs to mix in some different angles.
