I changed 'best' to 'highest paid.'Hard to blame Monty when the highest paid player on the ice is coasting around mainly thinking about buying some new clothes.

Fine. Let's say Swayman gets hot and drags them, logic be damned to the postseason.I get it but keep getting points here and there get hot a bit get wildcard spot. It can be done.
Or TB, Ott, Buf or Det gets hot. There’s only a 1 in 5 chance that it’s us.I get it but keep getting points here and there get hot a bit get wildcard spot. It can be done.
It does go beyond the coach to a degree. I think that his coaching structure is an absolute dumpster fire.A professional athlete should compete hard no matter who the coach is. I'm not absolving Montgomery of any responsibility, I'm just saying this goes beyond a coach. The players have a lot to answer for.
I saw an interview recently where I think it was Tony Granato talking about team usa and he mentioned he had to be hard on McaVoy all the time to get anything out of him. He said some players like Mac you have to get on all game. These are grown men and professionals. Why do they need someone yelling at them to compete? If they are that mentally weak they should be waived.

THIS is why they deserve a REAL SOB behind the bench. These soft whiny "players" need their ass kicked back into reality. Lazy A-holes.A professional athlete should compete hard no matter who the coach is. I'm not absolving Montgomery of any responsibility, I'm just saying this goes beyond a coach. Won’t happen in a post cap world, but in the old days you’d see the B’s make a big trade with another team mired in mediocrity, star for star.A professional athlete should compete hard no matter who the coach is. My issue is what do you do to improve things? On that we agree. And instilling a good game plan/structure is on the coach. I'm just saying when I see such a lifeless performance I don't think that aspect is about the coach for the reasons I stated.
They're in the bunker, evaluating. While speaking of Monty and the "players", I want to hear from the architects of this on-ice "product". Lol, they know who they are. What are they going to do about it?

I want Torts. Just for the entertainment value itself.THIS is why they deserve a REAL SOB behind the bench. These soft whiny "players" need their ass kicked back into reality. Lazy A-holes.
shots 27 to 13 guieshhh.
Win 2 to 1 games devils did this formula with lemaire behind the bench in the 90s .Fine. Let's say Swayman gets hot and drags them, logic be damned to the postseason.
I'm not sure you're aware, but you have to score goals to win in the postseason.
How do you propose they fix that problem?
