At least … there was no curse on the Arizona Coyotes….

Another season thats over in january, yeah.
My thought was if Utah can stay in the wild card hunt it would be a great year, but that is slipping away, fast. The Ducks and Sharks are one pt. behind. What the hell is going on? I hate to use injuries as an excuse but our D looks like last year. Valimaki looks terrible this year, and MavLam is showing he is not ready, and then you add in bad goal tending. Same mistakes every game, no adjustments. Is AT easy to coach against? I'm just grasping at straws. I thought we would have to let this year play out and see where we are at, but if this continues much longer can BA sit on his hands? We are now on pace for 77pts., last year we had 70.

The brain trust is likely feeling the pressure. The owner may reveal his patience level in the next few weeks. Sometimes, not that infrequently, the darkest is just before dawn.

Bad goal tending, bad team D, no PP, deadly combo....
Team D is your answer to everything when Utah loses. You have to zero it in. Our D is bad like last year. What happened to the PP and GF? Why is Utah the second most penalized team in the league? Why don't we shoot more? Is this coaching or system problem? The next road trip brings us to the 20 gm. mark. It will be interesting to see where we are at.

The stretch of the last 10 or so games have been brutal. Same shit different year, just in a different sweater and location.

Need to start looking long and hard at the coaching staff. The talent level I believe is there, but we are out shot and outplayed every game. BA said we would be the hardest working team in the league, thats not even close. Utah is looked at as another easy game for the opponent. We’re nothing, really.

I’m certainly not as invested anymore as I used to be, but sad to see the same ol same ol of multiple years past. I would have thought we would have started to turn the corner, but we’re not even at that corner. Somethings got to give I’d imagine.

You guys sure went fast from Bear the Great to shoot the Bear??
LOL…. Yeah, it’s really not bear season, but the guys on the ice seem in need of being grasped by the ears and shaken HARD. That’s why I threw Keenan’s name out there, because we all know that while these prima Donna kids couldn’t handle it, he’d certainly give ‘em a thorough shaking.

Thus the poaching option rears its head. :naughty:

and since we have money, we should go out and get an experienced coach with a proven track record
Who do you suggest?

Started the year at I believe 4-1 and now under .500 for the first time this year.

I'm ready for a coaching change, to be honest. Which is wild, because I wasn't thinking that as recently as two weeks ago. But right now almost every player save for maybe Sergachev, Kesselring, and Cooley either looks terrible or just invisible. That's usually the best indicator of something being lost in coaching. Yes, we have 2 of 3 top D out, but that doesn't excuse making the same mistakes every game, even for a young team. Beyond that, both special teams are awful. Starting Ingram last night over red-hot Vej was just an awful decision. This team should either be playoffs or in the race, and we are throwing away points -- the SJ game, Nashville, Vegas. The NJ and LA games were sleepy. Looked like shit against Colorado, Nashville, Washington. Four shutouts and like five bad games before the 20-game mark is wild. We're not engaged enough, especially physically. So yes, contingent on who the replacement is, I'd like to fire Andre Tourigny.

The guys with the blatant giveaways are right back on the ice. I’d give them some bench time and see if they smarten up.

Team D: guys are behind the play all over the ice, this leads to more scoring chances and guys taking penalties because they are preventing goals. PP/GF, I don't know. We gave up 6 goals, Our realistic plan shouldn't be score 7 goals to win. It should be a max of 2-3 goals, thats team D mostly with decent goal tending which we didn't have last night.
