a) I love that Sweden produces good defensemen but please, please, give us some forwards! And b) make this awful thing I am watching stop! Obviously Sweden didn't learn their lesson from the US game. Belarus here we come...

I can't believe I'd rather watch Eberle re-live his moments of glory than Sweden skating around doing bugger all.

Something about Sweden and lots of and dumb penalties in this tournament year after year. One could think a team with pretty much all players playing senior hockey would be better at not making such junior mistakes

This has to be the worst game I've seen out of the 48 streak. Kinda sorta the flu thing playing a role, but not all of it. Most Swedish editions would've easily scored 10+ in this type of game.

Good thing the stinker came now

excellent game for Sandin. I thought Sweden was alright considering all the players they were missing, although definitely some underwhelming finishing ability

Not a great game by the Swedes, but the Kazaks was a little better than I thought, decent effort by them. None the less all wins for Sweden in the group stage as usual.

Wouldn't call it excellent, went into cruise control along with the other players on the team after the 1st.

I agree. This was by far the worst team in the tournament, a 4-1 win is nothing to write home about. That said, the Swedes deserve a lot of respect for winning against Finland and the USA. This is a very deep Swedish team with an excellent top 9 F that have all stepped up.

So what we learned from Kazakhstan in this tournament is that they can roll with three goalies (Yeremeyev was bad against Slovakia, but you get it) and have some good PP defenseman (Orekov, Daniyar) but other than that, they've got a ways to go. Still light years ahead of their 09 team though.

Relegation round should be interesting to say the least, a team that can't score period, VS a team that can sort of score, kind of, but not really.

Kazakhstan certainly can score in comparison to Denmark. The latter has not scored a single goal in this tournament while the former has scored in all but one game, five goals in total. I think Kazakhstan has a decent chance at staying up.

The Kazak goalie was amazing :)
This Swedish team need all ten players they will have left to play there best to win against the Swizeroonies.
