Man, I feel kinda bad for Islanders fans. That team is absolutely wasting Ilya Sorokin’s prime.
It sure isn' the dynastic team of the early '80's that's for sure but bad drafting for the most part, bad development of young talent and lack of cohesion, chemistry will do that to you plus having to compete with the Rangers and Devils who have lots of money, talent and skill and both do a better job of drafting/Developing talent...

Good points. I can’t think of a recent Isles draft pick who’s broken out.

A lot of post-game chatter about Burakovksy's "confidence being high", from both the player and Bylsma. Not sure why that's a hot topic atm, didn't really feel like he did a lot this game or last. I'm guessing it's because iirc he's the only player besides Mahura to score a goal?

Looks like I missed a great comeback, Gourde, Tanev and McCann coming through big for us once again--it seems a nightly occurrence lately. Thought that pass from Bura to McCann for the goal was one of the prettiest I've seen this year. What a nailbiter, though--probably would have taken a year off my life just watching it.

Gourde and Tanev were absolutely dynamite all night long, which feels wild to say given how much I slagged Tanev last season. Almost makes me think Francis should be on the horn shopping both of them as a package deal. Plug and play fantastic 3rd line for just about anyone in the league.

I agree in principal but we are on a 4 game winning streak and 2 points from a playoff spot. It's just not going to happen. They are also the only line that has been effective consistently during this win streak.

I was at the game Tuesday and Burakovsky was noticeably faster than everyone on the ice. He was making people look silly out there. Someone commented “Burky is showing off”
I’m guessing maybe its because he’s finally healthy?

Yeah, I was kidding honestly. I don't think trades like that have ever been common in league history.
