This is who they are we're a bottom-tier team, and the next step is to initiate changes in the roster. They lack a winning mindset; this culture of losing has become ingrained in their DNA. Therefore, it's necessary to make some strategic moves because this core group isn't performing adequately.

Pinto was pretty invisible tonight, he's been a step behind since coming back. Lost a lot of battles too. Stutzle was the only forward that did anything. Batherson was ok.

Assuming we’re committed to Stützle - Norris - Pinto down the middle, what’s Greig’s future on this team?

He’s doesn’t have the offensive talent to be a top 6 winger, and he’s better suited as a 3rd line C than 3rd line LW.

He’s one of the only players we have that has value and is theoretically expendable… so of course if we want to upgrade somewhere, he’d naturally be the guy to move.

Personally I’d try Norris at LW or Pinto at RW in the top 6 and move Greig back down to 3C.
That's why I really hope we can pry Quinn for Greig.

Just trade Tkachuk, Ullmark, Norris, Batherson and get all those 8million dollar contracts back to queue another rebuild

This Team is never going to win sh1t with this leadership and core.

It really feels like the Sens are going to go the path of the Sabres and miss the playoffs for 13 straight seasons.

This core seems to be sadly broken beyond repair. They spent too much time learning under a shit coach to the point where this shit hockey is probably so ingrained into their brains that it is impossible to change.

I just don't know what to do with this team anymore.

Stützle, Batherson and Giroux were all good. The rest of the forwards were bad. Where is Tkachuk?

On D we need more from Sanderson. That play on McDavid's first goal was God awful.

Our big name players need to show up or we're done yet again.

Yep. I noticed him take the faceoff violation penalty. That was about it.
Since we’re doing shout outs I’d like to nominate Zub as also having a horrible game. Probably worst I’ve seen him or at least the most mistakes made that ended up in our net

Agreed on Zub. Really rough game. Couldn't make a tape to tape pass all game.

He made several nice plays to get people open. Wasn't dominant but he played decent.
He had a few really bad turnovers as well. Needed more from him tonight.

That would be more than fine.

A swap for Foerster could also make sense. Flyers have a billion RWers and need help at center.

Only way a Greig trade makes sense is if we're getting a similar quality forward in return that has more goal scoring ability, since that's obviously something we're lacking right now.

This team seems to be coached for low event games. Our offense has shown in previous years that they can score when they play a run-and-gun game, but can they do it when playing more responsibly? Off the cycle, I can see some occasional game-breaking move by Stutzle or Batherson leading to a goal, but what happened to Norris' one-timer? What happened to Brady crashing the net and scoring some garbage goal? And our timid defense isn't exactly bringing much offensively. Jensen is currently our most dangerous D offensively, and that's not a good thing. Chabot has his moments too. Don't know what's going on with Sanderson, it's like he's trying to play like the bad version of Chabot, indecisive in the offensive zone, not paying attention in the D zone.

Now low event and boring would be fine by me, but then the goalie needs to make f'ing stop from time to time. With proper goaltending by Shitmark, maybe we win some of these recent games 1-0 or 2-1.

Some positives:

- Maybe it's because I'm completely desensitized by now, but I didn't find this loss as frustrating as the previous two. At least we followed a known pattern of bad goaltending and inability to create offensive chances. I don't like it when they are creative in finding new ways to lose; and this time they weren't creative.

- Honestly, I thought Hamonic played well.

- I have a good feeling about Thursday.
