TR has never been a good roster manager or game coach. His antics get old fast. Can't think of one good reason why you would have Calvert and Skille sitting.

The paper said he felt those who won the last two games should play tonight.... To be honest, I doubt Calvert or Skille would have made much of a difference tonight, the Jackets as a team didn't show up.. (the lack of scoring ability to tie the score at 2-2 is the main reason they lost).

What is wrong with us this year? We should be like near the top of the Metro, carrying our momentum over from last season. Instead we are in last in the division. Why is that? Were we just lucky last year?

Injuries were a legit concern. Now that we are getting guys back, it seems as if they are using past injuries as an excuse to go out there and suck it up.

Having about what should be 5-6 AHL/ECHL full time players getting significant playing time is not good either.

We are getting guys off waivers hoping they will work out, it never does.

This season will be a wash, not because of the injuries, but how we reacted to the injuries.

Don't say anything at all
I've been busy doing other stuff, just started following the NHL tonight, once college football is on break until bowl season I'll be watching more NHL.

I hope we can turn around and get into playoff positioning by the next calendar year.

Bad moves by the front office and injuries... but mostly just way too many AHLers out there that have no business on the ice.

I swear, youd think in such a huge year with the city hosting the All Star game and all they would want to do something to help this team... Horton has no future in the NHL by most determinations but his presence last season was a huge factor in the big comeback they had... without that presence they would not have gone to the playoffs...

why are they still waiting to bring somebody in? They should have done that after their 4 straight loss

Hmm, let me guess. 119 (or thereabouts) man games lost already. Including Dubi for all the season, Jenner for a good part, Murray, Bob, etc. etc.

Have you just awakened from a long pre-winter nap?

That being said last year we were every good down the stretch and a bit lucky to just get into the playoffs. It will take another very good performance and a bit of luck to do it again this year.

wonder if another one of those patented players-only meetings will do the trick. or a slightly harder practice than usual, that'll show 'em!

While I agree that Horton's loss is big, I don't want GMJK to make a knee-jerk reaction and trade a young stud for a Eberle- type handcuff. Not gonna help this team.

I don't see why a lot of you guys are lambasting the guy. He gave his reasons. Not everyone follows every single game.

I feel that this is the right time for this bad luck (injuries mostly) to happen to this team. Very deep draft, lasting goodwill from a fanbase that can realize the injuries are the issue. If the CBJ can draft a nice player and be healthy next year and forward...yeehaw.

The problem I have with this is that everyone will just add some draft pieces and redo this year writing it off due to injuries and then we replay what should have been this year again. What if injuries notwithstanding, we address some of the other issues so we can go forward instead of trying to tread water and see what we got next year.

Too many injuries, didn't sign a back up goalie, let some key players go.

Missing Dubi, T-tube and Murray doesn't help, it's hard to say that even if they had played tonight the outcome would be much different though..

The team must score goals when needed to win, top end offense is an issue..

When healthy its an issue for this team. Right now its merely a theory.

The "writing off" has legitimacy...the CBJ have been decimated by injuries. Adding "draft pieces," while unknown, I believe my theory stands. Strong draft, unfortunate year for a solid, YOUNG, team, might not be horrible.

Haha. What a change from last GDT to this one.

But yeah, that was worth the price of admission. They played very well in the 1st. Then **** from there. Time to get Calvert and Skille in the lineup and take plugs like Tropp and Boll out.

Well, at least with the Leafs losing 6-2 and 9-2 consecutively, and the Habs getting beat 4-0, we weren't the only team that got blownout, so I suppose we won't be the laughing stock of the NHL, tonight.

Edit: The Stars are getting whopped again after losing to the Hawks 6-2 on Sunday, so invite them to the party.

yeahbut, we're only 1 point better than Buffalo and our -20 goal differential is only better than Buffalo's -35. i would laugh if i wasn't crying.
