Claude's style made plenty of games "boring", but goddamn, no coach tightened up loose defensive coverage quicker than Julien.

As well as allowing his players to be physical. While it limited offensive scoring it was by design. Some teams need such a system to win games. His teams were strong enough it was an added bonus. Hence 2008-2014 such an era.

To me this is usually why you don’t pay a lot for a goalie, they are only as good as the players in front of him.

The Dallas goalie stood on his head when the Bruins were buzzing. Sway is not half the goalie that kid is.

People blaming Swayman when the Bruins defensive coverage has been motley. Going down to early? That's how every goalie plays now. He might of been a little bit too far back on the Bach goal but that's a bit of a broken play where the puck deflects off Zadorov's skate.

Letting Stankoven stand there all alone in front of the net. Not covering the back-door on the Dadonov goal giving him time to dust it off and pick his spot. Zadorov turns the puck over at their own blueline, then letting a puck go right through him AND deflects it right to the Dallas forward.

We can blame the refs, blame goaltending. When the fact is their defensive play is awful and they still can't score goals. That's the crux of their issues still.

I'll stay up to watch the 3rd period only because I had a 2 hour power nap on the couch and I need something to help put me to sleep. Bruins offense is the new cure for insomnia.

Ullmark had a brutal game too, Sens outshot Flyers 37-19 and lost 5-4. Let in a soft nothing shot from Anthony Richard who set up another goal like a minute or so later. Ottawa was outshooting the Flyers 25-4 halfway through the game.

Linus had a stinker tonight in Ottawa too giving up 5 goals on 19 shots included a real stinker in OT. Both Swayman and Ullmark have struggled greatly so far.
